As a Villa fan, I can only talk about what I have witnessed, on TV as well as in person, at Villa Park. Grealish is unbelievable. He is not your average player. When pundits are saying "he is the game changer, the jewel, the one that makes things happen", it's a positive thing. However, Grealish needs players that understand him and his intelligence. He alone, will not win games unless the complimentary style is there who assist him in creating chances. Looking at the Austria and Romania games, I see players not connecting when he expects them to. Grealish is the player that will have balls of steel to carry the ball into danger zones but the England team won't think the way he does. They need to adapt but the fear is they will play too conservatively due to Southgate.

Cambiasso was the starter, and Stankovic who was later replaced by Sneijder in the XI, were the starter in Figo's last season Zlatan were the only keyman, but he was brilliantly replaced. Zlatan out; Milito, Eto'o, Sneijder, Motta, Lucio in. Like Juve in 01, after 3 seasons without Scudetto. Zidane out, Nedved, Thuram, Buffon in.

@@bickdig mount starts definitely but as a midfielder. Mount and Rice/Henderson as the centre mids with Foden as the 10. Perfect balance since Mount is attacking minded and Rice and Henderson are both defensive minded. I'd rather play Henderson than Rice but the injury and fitness gossip of Henderson is giving me doubts he,ll perform his best.

He’s older, more experienced etc. These euros are exciting for sure, but I’m also really optimistic about the next World Cup too. We’ll have Kane, Sterling and Grealish in they’re primes, Rashford, Foden, Mount, Sancho, Rice etc with a lot more experience. Exciting times for England.

@@shesbaldbutiwould he was a pretty good ball carrier. not quite as good as figo with that glued to his feet ability but he was still a great dibbler. his through pass ability was his main weapon, though.

@@wesleymcleish1776 I think Sterling and Rashford are great for what they have done for communities, and from 2018-20, but they have been trash all year. Especially, Sterling he's been City's worst attacker this season. Mahrez, Foden, Ferran Torres have all been better and he gets paid double what they get paid.
