He Returned Home to Protect his Brother and Mother | Crime Drama Thriller | Full Movie
Kevin Drake, a former Major League Baseball player, returns to his hometown after ending his career. Traumatized both physically and emotionally, he struggles to find new meaning in life. The main reason for his return is the need to confront his stepfather, Frank, who abused him and his family for years.
Kevin is faced with painful memories of his childhood when his mother, Lucy, was unable to protect him from Frank's cruelty. As Kevin tries to rebuild his relationship with his younger brother, Tommy, he realizes that old wounds still hurt. The situation escalates when he discovers that Frank continues to abuse the family, especially Tommy.
Gathering all his strength and courage, Kevin decides to confront Frank. He forces his stepfather to answer for his actions, trying to find peace for himself and his family. The climax is an emotional confrontation that changes the lives of everyone involved and gives Kevin the opportunity to move trinianpal512 forward.

I grew up in that kind of hell. There's nothing to forgive. I've built a better life, and I knew I wouldn't settle for less. You never forget the past, and I am so grateful for the life we have now. But it leaves something inside you; it never truly goes away. You tend to trust people until they prove you wrong for trusting them. You see more in everything around you than the average person does.

So true and facts! And I'm sorry but then when an evil human being that was your family at one point, thinks they can turn written pages in a book and believe that they are a better human being now..... Um no wtf! And I can't stand when someone tells me to forget the past.... Because it doesn't ever go away, you just survived it! And then you try to live the best way you can without them! I absolutely have nothing to do with my parents anymore and they are not my parents! They just had unprotected sex and created me, never real love! Only abuse!

My father passed when I was 12 years old. My stepdad stepped up and was an awesome father the rest of his life. When I met my wife, she had a young son and I stepped up. When he became an adult, he told me I was the dad his dad could never be. Not all stepparents are bad. But people have a tendency to focus and acknowledge the bad ones and forget about the good ones.

I’m old, thank heaven. All my life, I have told people planning to marry someone with children that if you cannot love the children as your own, you have no right to marry their parent. The children should always come before you. If you can’t do that, then walk away. Anyone who marries someone with children and does not put them first, is worse than the parents that bore them and created this situation. Why? Because the situation was present when you came into the picture and you have more information to assess, to make better decisions. Children are always your children. Unfortunately in our society today spouses are not always your spouse. Thank God for those step parents that are able to love others children.

Sad to see that some women let their children to be abused by fathers or step-fathers and said they're afraid. I think I did a pretty good job raising my son. He's in college, he's finding his way. But I've told him, you have my name but, don't be me, be better than me. In my opinion only, parents need to admit sometimes they're wrong and they don't know everything. Especially as their children get older. Kids are not as naive as people think, they just don't know how to process it. But they know right from wrong. All kids deserve a chance to thrive.

I was raised in a similar situation. As a child we have no control of how we are raised. I only wish someone tried to help me make the best of it. Being angry at others only hurts yourself. Today I have no ill feelings toward those who beat me. If they were alive today I would shake their hand and be very nice to them. If you are in a bad situation, make the best of it, learn, educate yourself and know its temporary. The right attitude will go a long way for a better future.

I know what it's like to be beat by a father, stepfather, and uncle, and ministers at a children's home. Beat on a sofa with an extension cord because I spotted my pants when I was 5 or 6 years old, I awoke with a case of the runs, and I darted for the outhouse, but I spotted me pants on the way. That was just the first I remember, but there many more. The preachers in the children's home beat us like he was scourging satin himself. My Mom returned took me from the children's home. I now had a stepfather, and he told me when I needed a helping hand, I should look on the end of my wrist. At 13 I worked washing dishes for 50 cents an hour to have lunch money at school and any new clothes. There were times I wanted to give up, and once even slashed a wrist, but a knock came to the door and it was for me, a guy with no friends. Someone I played football with and when he saw he scolded me, wrapped wound and hid it from my mother. Looking back, I can see God always had a light on and I was never in total darkness. I'm old and this is just a fraction of my tale, and what a rollercoaster it has been. With the help of God, I forgave all of them, and am learning to forgive myself. I wasn't raised by Angels and have never been one. When I reflect on my life, looking through clear water, not muddy water, I cannot judge others. I don't know what they went through in life. Walk a mile in someone's shoes, hell I ain't walked one step in someone else's shoes. I've never pushed a blind man down a flight of stairs for bumping into me. Ya'll be good to each other.

Good movie with bonus of Dean Cain in a small late camoe short moment. A real life scenario in many a family in the past and to a lesser extent in the present as well. Too much drinking is beyond dangerous. Dangerous to self and others in contact with the drinker. Unfortunately, drinking is a lifestyle for the masses and majority of the people. When this topic is discussed, drinkers will state the mind your own business mantra and they can decide themselves and no one should interrupt or intervene as each is to his or her own . Well, simply put, the most important teaching and training come from the parents. If either or both parents are serious or serial drinkers then, they cant't set good example for thwir children.

It's a shame Tommy never re-found his footing after his BB career ended, he lost himself along the way. Forgiveness is hard to give to those who don't deserve it but hate is a poison that can destroy you and those around you so it's best to just let it go. Letting go doesn't mean you forgive them. Anyway forgiveness is in the next life.

Great movie - Scott was obviously Jimmie's biological son - "like father like son" Tommy's wife exclaims and she was right; Scott was becoming just like him. He beat Scott because he hated himself and in his twisted mind it was self-punishment.

Who did Scott throw off the bridge, if his father ( step ) was still alive. Great movie, I liked when the father asked Scott can we talk about this, cause he was twice the size of him and would get his ass kicked. I guess I should of waited till the end to answer my first question,,lol.
