This is one of the greatest lessons we’ve received on football and these disappointing journos wasting it with the most awful questions we’ve had in a while. They either didn’t listen or didn’t understand. No motivation to engage with his answers. Just the same old bits about “confidence”, “how important is it to you that…”, “motivation”. Just thinking of headlines. An absolute embarrassment. A huge thank you to Beanie for allowing us to attend these lessons for years. You are the absolute best at this.

8:49 I love this. This is exactly my thoughts when I see or hear fans make claims about tactics being wrong. We know so little from our perspective, and even for managers there's only so much they can guess about opponents, which will determine in some way how they'll approach the game... but that's if the opponent doesn't spring a surprise in the first place! ... and after all that, the tactics are only really those tactics if the players execute the plan properly.

I sense that some reporters are putting questions out for the sake of news title by inserting specific words. No responsibility of actually telling the readers like it's supposed to. Like using the word 'Brave' then tomorrow the headline will be 'Pep said he is brave'. Or something like that. Or 'Bernado' and 'Mistake' then next day headline is 'Pep said it was a mistake playing Bernado'. Snakes, some of these people are.

Pep is a myth lol Unlimited budget at Man City and usually wins the league...so what? The truth is that Paul Lambert would PROBABLY win the league with City. Paul Lambert would probably win the league with Bayern. And Paul Lambert would certainly win the league with THAT Barca team. Paul Lambert would not have won the UEFA Cup with Porto. Nor would he have won the UCL with Porto. Nor would he have beaten that Barca team to La Liga. Nor would he have won the treble with Inter. Nor would he have won the UEFA Cup with THAT Man Utd. Guardiola was blessed with prime Messi xavi and iniesta and everything has gone swimmingly ever since. Apart from the fact that he has never won the UCL without prime GOAT Messi. I can't say he's 'bad'. He's won it all. But I can't say he's 'very good' because half the managers out there would have done what he has done. It's undisputable. His philosophy? Buy anyone you want and attack other teams. Nice.

But to question his set up as if the guy hasn’t won the league 10/13 seasons as coach and countless other trophies is not only arrogant but ignorant. I think in this case it is the perfect example of overthinking. He told them to go back to the basic and go crazy at what they are comfortable doing and we won. You are the best Pep and we are with you regardless but I just can’t see how playing the team in an unusual way in a big game is better after you and past records has proven their original way is more than good enough.
