It'll probably be the two luke's next year, as the team is selected on the order of merit. This time next year, littler will be eligible.

Littler’s got a fair way to go to climb those rankings. Can’t see it happening unless he picks up wins at the Matchplay and Worlds.

@JayJope The order of merit goes on prize money. So I would expect littler to climb the rankings substantially over the next year. He won't overhaul humphries, but smiths recent form isn't the best, so he might catch him. I think the main obstacle to littler might be rob cross. He is a consistent performer, so could stay ahead of littler in the order of merit in the short term.

Maybe few germans on the European Tour and the hungarian lady, but overweight English Callers and Markers. In the Semi Final english referee Kirk Bevins said to Gary his last LEGAL Dart doesn't count. The Semi Final was against England.

Bit of a low blow considering what Peter says was just a bit of banter. Peter was in the premier league because of the order of merit, regardless of how he played, while Littler wasn't. And while Littler is an amazing talent, has won a major, he can easily come off the boil just like Peter has, who won 2 world championships back to back. But it is what it is, Smith hasn't done much after his title and keeps slipping back too so won't be long before he's out of the PL

Littler is on course to finish top 10 this year from 164 . For him to take one of these spots he will need finish top 3 or for either Smith or Humphries to drop out of those spots .

Humphries' spot for next year is safe already but I'd be surprised if it's not Littler who partner's him, as I think Littler will win multiple ranking majors between now and then, as well as another deep run in the worlds (possibly winning it all)

Win a second championship then you can pop off at Peter, he was having banter with you and you cant take it so you get personal. Yes Peter is struggling just now, but then so were you earlier this year, hell you got bounced as defending champ and havent done shit this year. You got this spot outta luck, Littler and Humph will be Englands 1 & 2 by the end of the year. You wont get near the world cup again.....

My comment is referring to the childish comments of Smith saying Wright “annoyed” him by making a comment made in good humor that wasn’t even directed at him. Smith only started reaching the Premier league playoffs a few years ago so maybe thats where his memory ends but Wright is twice the player Smith will ever be.

I used to cheer for Michael Smith.. but he seems to have become overly sensitive and has some kind of chip on his shoulder. Since winning the World Championship, he hasn't won many high-profile events, hence this edgy side, I guess. It's become annoying, actually.
