The casting for Leia is mind blowingly perfect.

Ewan McGregor has never been better as Obi-Wan, is amazing the way he balances a sense of crushing defeat with a sense of duty for the Skywalker twins. If the Mandalorian is a lone wolf and cub story than this is a Ronin Samurai story. Also Vivien Lyra Blair is so damn perfect as Leia. She perfectly captures Anakin’s sense of adventure with Padme’s razor sharp intellect.

Kenobi has had to deal with both Skywalker snark and Amidala stubborness in the past but now h's going to have to contend with both condensed into one small package.

I noted that the first "youngling jedi" the camera passes by at the beginning in the coruscant jedi temple looks like it could have been Reva. It is curious why she has it out for Obi Wan inparticular though. I am also happy to see that the Grand Inquisitor does have the dark side orange yellow eyes.

I don't think it's a grudge against Kenobi. I think she knows how much Vader wants him and her ambition is to gain favor with either Vader or maybe even Palpatine for destroying him.

*I was on the phone with my friend during the Prequel recap, and I didn't realize how loud we were talking. My neighbor knocked my door and asked if I needed to talk so loud. I said, "Kenobi just dropped!". He just shouted "OH SHIT!" and ran back to his place.* 😁

Kyber crystal resonates with the Force, so Obi was able to find the sabers by sensing them

The self doubt in Obi-Wan is perfectly portrayed by Ewan. Also, the young confidence of Leia -- what a superb contrast! I've been yearning for more of Leia at this time, and what an amazing surprise to get that in this show!

Side note: the Tri-Wing seen a few seconds in the sequence in the forest with young Leia was a concept project between the ILM staff and Porsche Design team.

Carrie would’ve LOVED little Leia If Reva was one of those younglings at the start of the episode.. could one of the other kids be Trilla? 2nd and 3rd sister seem like they would’ve joined the inquisitor program around the same time. . .?

As someone who looks to your Star Wars reactions first, I totally gel with your vibes. >w< Leia in particular is just so well-fleshed out even as a child, also Reva in general. Can't wait for more!!!

My first minute reaction. "ooooh look at these cuties. wait wha.... no. no no NO NOOOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOO" Also little leia kept making me cry. She is so fucking precious and te perfect little leia.

The two episodes are just incredible, so nastolgia, Obi-Wan is excellent, Sung Kang in the inquisitor makeup at first did not even recognize, but Vader at the end of the second series is simply amazing

My theory on Reva is that she is the young Jedi padawan that we zoom out past in the Order 66 prologue -- a dark-skinned human girl in the center (clearly the tallest and probably the eldest), who not only is the first person we see past the intro but also who stands center picture when the five young padawans stand alone after their guardian has been killed by clone troopers. (I mean, maybe that's just me presuming a trope where there isn't one, but the fact that she in particular is front and center at both the beginning and the end of the prologue seems like deliberate foreshadowing to me.)

I think young Leia was a well kept secret, and potentially the Grogu (star) of the show.

I was KINDA hoping that they'd use some Clone Wars clips for the recap... I know sometimes it wouldn't make sense... but it would be cool.

My own personal theory is that Reva was one the Padawans that we saw at the beginning of the episode. It would make sense since the Empire kidnapped Force sensitive children (like Trilla) and make them Inquisitors.

Being at Star Wars Celebration (SWC) yesterday going to the Lucasfilms panel and watching Obi Wan Kenobi before anyone else was magical.

After the sequel trilogy got a lot of hate from fans for ignoring the prequels, I think this is Lucasfilm’s attempt to bring those fans back. So much prequel love in this series so far! Also, I wasn’t expecting to see Leia and Bail, much less Leia being a central character but I LOVE IT! And did you notice Anthony Daniels as C-3PO?!? So many wonderful surprises!

One of the younglings in the order 66 scene was black. I'm calling it now, that was the Third Sister when she was a child, and she's on a revenge mission against Obi Wan because his training of Anakin led indirectly to order 66 being executed.
