When he told his coach as a kid, he wanted to clean the floor with all other weight lifters he looked perplexed and shocked when his coach gave him a mop and said start cleaning there then. Years later his unothodox training regime litraly has lead to him cleaning the floor with not just weight lifters in his weight catagory but many much heavier catagories. Never watched a single weight lifting video till I stumbled on hos channel and now adicted lol.

The way he sets the lift down is the most impressive thing to me. Everyone else just lets it slam to show everyone how heavy it is and don’t feel like using effort to guide it to the ground. Larry sets that thing down like a little baby.

It's all in the weights you use. If you use weights that you can only do up to 5-6 reps with you'll gain strength but not much mass. So you have to constantly lift as heavy as possible. That's not super healthy so light weights for mobility and accessory exercises are needed. Think Olympic lifting. 70 kg guys snatching twice their body weight.
@OfficialSantaClaus
@OfficialSantaClaus Жыл бұрын
@@retardno002 True, key is not to keep your muscles under tension for very long to prevent hypertrophy taking place (muscle growth) at least to some extent. Downside of this kind of muscles (fast twitch) is that they tire out faster than slow twitch muscles that are activated in high rep(15+) workouts. Also I forgot to mention that high rep workouts don't activate hypertrophy almost at all.

A lot of people work just as hard, very few develop his kind of strength. God blessed him with the type of muscle fibers that have more strength per pound. I've only known two people like that and being of average build, and not being weightlifters, they could bench press a bus. I mean they have freakshow ridiculous strength.

Work natural)) This cleaner takes definitely steroids. it is just different composition of body. Im myself a powerlifter and know hundreds different guys on steroids. I can tell you only by looking at your skin if you are on steroids. Many people think if they take steroids they are going to be big as larry, but it is a dellusion. His form is composition of tons of steroids, all life training and genetic.

this isn't natural and tbh it's not the same at all. if i deadlift and i have someone half my size sumo dead lifting to keep up you already know who is the stronger guy. let me sumo deadlift that 580lbs again instead of having a stance like larrys. he's strong super strong but im fickle with stances if it all isn't the same then it can't be judged the same. add the fact he looks smaller than me in height makes it even more impressive... i was 240lbs when i did mine he's doing it at 100lbs lighter but sumo lifting is easier imo. and no i do not want to face him... all i had was a deadlift lol this guy is impressive in all of his lifts

I heard there are two kinds of muscle hypertrophy: myofibrillar hypertrophy and sarcoplasmic hypertrophy. My theory is that myofibrillar hypertrophy slightly increase muscle size but greatly increase strength, while sarcoplasmic hypertrophy greatly increase muscle size. I'm not sure what else sarcoplasmic hypertrophy does though, some says it increase muscle glycogen storage, so maybe fatigue resistance? Which means more endurance? More reps? Also there's the theory of motor unit recruitment, I think it means not all muscle fibre are working when lifting, working out will increase the percentage of muscle fibre activation. Also when reaching muscle fatigue, your nervous system will tell you to stop lifting and give up before you hurt yourself, this threshold can be pushed further to lift more weight before reaching limit. Those are all theories though.

The deadlifts are different, you can lift more in the sumo style (grip between the legs wide leg stance) compared to regular deadlift with the grip outside the legs "narrow" stance.. look at the distince of the lift, with sumo theres less travel required for the lift.
