Last possible adventure for humans in a fictional sense, but this was a tad absurd, mosquito should have kiled him, shrinking down to that size being pierced wouldn't be a skin wound(more like spinal and organ trauma), not to mention the leech drained at least more than a pint, the rat and the snake shouldn't have been that easy to fend off either...down to them making quite fashionable survival attire.
