The players who have been sold have been replaced by younger players on a third of their wages who have already been getting better points goals and wins. They have gained financial gains from the hotel purchase agreement which has already cleared them of any FFP breach of rules

@@shaheenyboy Dear oh dear, the ignorance is appalling. Boehly does not "own" Chelsea. The owner is BlueCo, of which Boehly is a minority shareholder. The majority shareholder is Clearlake, which is Egbali. Boehly was the public face in the first year, but has never been the largest shareholder.

My thought too, you can talk about the differences between the EPL and American pro sports and that's fine but this move doesn't make sense in an American sport either. Letting go of a manager who's team posted great results the 2nd half of the season is bad enough, but now Chelsea looks like a toxic team to any manager who actually wants something more than just a big paycheck.

I was stunned when I saw the news!! If it were a few months completely get it I saw them on the tv alot and thought they were awful in many games complete mess of a team but recently I think they have really improved players seem more of a team and to finish 6th this season even though its not where Chelsea want to be I think it's a very good achievement and now I feel like that progress that has been made has just been thrown down the toilet and now they got to start over again. Should of given him more time.

When new owners come in and one of their first acts is to fire the grounds crew after 30 years of service, that alone tells you they do not know how to run anything OR care about anything other than money. btw who says Boehly knows how to run anything, he had a % of sports clubs, never ran them and Eghbali is a finance guy but has his hands on things day to day...

How many decent managers will this board ignore. Tuchel, Potter, Lampard and Poch know how to win matches with a balanced dressing room. You cannot have a transfer policy of Brighton (albeit with a much bigger chequebook) to buy only inexperienced youngsters you hope become world beaters, and hire a manager who hope might be the next Pep to play successful Pep possession style football, and expect a top 4 finish at least. The plan is we need a miracle every season, and we need out potential players to be amazing. Selling really good homegrown players to balance the books for average foreign players is daft. I hope Enzo and Sterling and a few more significant players hand in transfer requests to wake this board up since they don't listen to managers. They literally want to find a young "Yes man puppet" to be the next Pep and lets only look outside the premier league.

Its like the media have only watched the last 5 games Chelsea have played. Chelsea have been terrible all season, bar individual performances bailing them out (people jump to the idea Chelsea would be relegated without Cole Palmer) there has been no improvement on an identity or patterns of play.
