I completely agree! It's almost unbelievable, how many people just drive by something like that without doing a thing. this is why, as insane as I might look, I do this sorta thing often(safely, if possible)in front of my daughter, so she knows it's the right thing to do. if a seagull is injured, I don't care 8f it ruins my trip to the ocean, I will be sure I find cell reception, and call animal control, or humane society...I do this, because it's what I would want, if I were the animal. but this guy, jumps right out and helps her, as if that giant doe is a turtle...

That deer is or was definitely sick from a disease like CWD, not frozen scared. This guy has likely killed a bunch of deer by “saving” this sick deer, as now it might go around his habitat infecting other deer. What you should do in this situation is simply not touch the deer, or get close to it, or try to be a hero by carrying it back to where it came from. The best thing you can do is call local animal services and they’ll make sure that deer is fine, and if he’s not and suffering from, for example, CWD, they’ll put it down and end its suffering.

Deer absolutely DO NOT act like that normally. That deer likely had CWD. It's a horrible degenerative brain disorder that is highly infectious among the deer population. He should have called animal control so they can euthanize it and destroy the body.

My son accidentally hit a deer with his new car here in Middle TN. He has been wary about dusk driving ever since. But a year before I heard dogs barking like crazy. I looked out into my big backyard and saw two large dogs trying to attack a young buck in the pouring down rain. I grabbed my cane, I was arthritic, 69 and raced out to help the deer. I screamed at the dogs to "get back". My 120 Lab/Livestock Guardian mix was on my back porch barking loudly non-stop. Waving my cane at the attacking dogs I saw the deer's front leg was ripped and bleeding. I made eye contact with the deer and knew he realized I was trying to help him. I continued screaming at the dogs and the deer turned and ran into the woods. I ran around to the pond, the young buck was in the pond for his safety. I kept coming at the dogs and they finally ran off. The deer finally escaped and went back into the woods. One of the most profound experiences of my life, I am now 75!!

This guy is one of a kind type of guy. I’m elated to have witness such kindness that was demonstrated in this video. It takes bravery, selfless determination, and courage to preform an incredible action of compassion to an endangered animal. He definitely has the heart to be a great husband, protector, provider, father, son, uncle, nephew and best friend. One who loves deeply and cares for his love ones, pets and friends. A man with a heart full of compassion. I don’t know what state or city he’s in; however if he was near. I would be looking for this guy. He has a heart that draws you to want to get to know him.

I actually had to rewatch the video to notice that the deer barely seemed to react like a regular deer, and I’m not even a hunter Edit: I live pretty close to a state forest, while deer are rare in my area, they cross my backyard and the two times I’ve seen them (one ran in front of my moms car) they NEVER did this. The lone white tailed buck that stopped in front of the car stared for a SECOND before bolting away. Some of y’all have never seen a deer before and it shows.

Frozen scared…lol. More like frozen brain full of prions. The only “legendary” thing about this is that dudes kill count… I put in hundreds of hours of planning and hunting to harvest 6 deer per year… this dude managed to wipe out several dozen with only 1 minute of effort considering all the other deer that its gonna come into contact with and infect. It baffles me that it so hard for people to understand that you shouldn’t mess with wildlife. If you gotta do something call your state wildlife agency.

In all honesty that’s probably the early stages of chronic wasting disease for that deer, it’s an incurable prion disease that confuses the animal until it dies, That deer is as good as dead

@@nancyhowell4505 mostly traumatize kids, kids are “traumatized” too easily these days I mean that sincerely, kids are soft and weak now, nobody ever experiences real aggression or real loss or fear, I saw a mother possum get blown away when I was 8, I saw the babies crawl out of her pouch, and my grandpa threw it over the hill and I saw the babies go flying into the trees. It terrified me in the moment but it was formative, seeing that kind of death at a young age put actions and problems in perspective, I’m 23 now and things like that have helped me realize that no matter what bad stuff happens at least I’m not a dead bleading possum with babies getting thrown over the hill
