We likely wouldn't be having this conversation;-) 2a.) was gonna put a period at the end of #2, but for some reason, decided against it. ...which, in my semi-crazed opinion of the moment seems to be perfect solution to any excess punctuation karma I might've left hanging

So, like old-fashioned IRC whose chatrooms only had the external "underline" to signify emphasis, I went with what's available. At that point, it seemed I'd reached the end of the sentence, the end of the paragraph, the end of the thought. All that was left was a stunned silence to contemplate that fantastic and beautifully silly bird so aware of his world. Oh, and a period;) As to us and our punctuational obsessions, I think that each time we come in here, we should pay Birb homage; watch the vid again, and meditate---on nature, on physics, & maybe a wee bit on theater of the absurd. Birds can’t levitate or hover they can only fly, there is a huge difference.... Without continuous forward motion there is no lift and the bird will fall from the sky. Birds don’t defy gravity unfortunately sorry to ruin your comment....
