Wallis Simpson wasn't exactly a kind-hearted woman....she was part of the gossip going around about the future George VI that he had a slow brain! They (Wallis & Edward) were both very inward looking!

Edward Prince of Wales , was formally proclaimed KING immediately after the death of his Father ,KG V . The Coronation is but merely the wonderful and appreciated attending pageantry , commensurate with our rich history .

That doesn't make sense. Harry is the spair heir. William is the heir apparent. If anything, William is half crazy and doing exactly what his father did to Diana. With that said, if Harry wants to leave with his wife and children, that's his perogative. He doesn't Shirk his duties. He just wanted to keep his wife and children safe. William, on the other hand, is underhanded, an adulterous violent bastard. Just like his daddy.

After reading Andrew Lownie’s book, I find it a lot more serious and analytical on the issue of Edward VIII, later the Duke of Windsor’s relations with the Nazis. His money laundering in the Bahamas certainly shored up his fortune for years to come. So Wallis could shop to her heart’s (dis)content, gamble and play cards. I find this documentary well made, but soft on Edward and Wallis.

I was raised on the old south east my Great grandfather was in the civil war we were not only seen & not heard but 2 have proper manners how 2 walk set etc We can't 4 get that Edward had a nanny that was horrible 2 him & wasn't found out until George's nanny was found out what she was doing 2 him that also had a big prob that he carried w/ him all his life 💙🇬🇧💙🇬🇧💙👑

Sorry, I know this isn’t really important but Edward viii was not handsome. He was weak and insipid looking. And he was short and incredibly unmanly. Poor Wallis didn’t want him long term, she was far to clever to be with such a dullard. She got much more than she bargained for.

This documentary is very poor. The commentators citing historical inaccuracies and failing to provide a lack of context simply appear as second-rate historians. If anyone is genuinely interested in Edward VIII, Duchess of Windsor or the royals of this era please do look at some of the very good biographies by historians who have properly researched their subjects. This piece is just awful!
