Who payed the bills for the house, normally when people go missing they don’t continue to pay bills, which leads to foreclosure which then leads too resale of the property usually followed by new residents of premises, the house just wouldn’t be sitting there in limbo for two plus years.

The courts are overly lenient on women, especially when it comes to kids. It’s truly sickening because even in clear cut cases of abuse or neglect from the mother where the father should get full custody, the mother still often wins because of this bias. Or in this case, it’s dragged out unnecessarily and the kid pays the biggest price.

I totally agree with the narrator's summing up, the sentence should have reflected not only the kidnapping but also the child abuse & the damage done to the father. Both women should have got at least 20 yrs in prison
