@@NJGuy1973 You're right. It WAS 34-5. You're not being nit-picky. I'm a stickler for details myself. I remember 2 seasons later in 1980, the first game of the season, in Pittsburgh, the Steelers beat the Oilers 45-34 (If I'm not mistaken but pretty sure it was). It was a shootout after the Steelers took a 17-0 halftime lead. And then the 2nd time we played, on MNF, the Oilers won 6-0. Not 1 TD scored. Tony Fritch had 2 field goals. That was the only scoring. Completely the opposite from the 1st game. Anyway, we knocked the Steelers out of the playoffs with that game. So in a way, we DID kick the SOB in. "Looks like Bum Philips decided to kick the wrong door in" -Sam Rutigliano, Head Coach of the Browns, 1980. Because the Browns won the division and of course the Oilers got clobbered in the Wildcard by the Raiders who won the SB that year. 3rd year in a row we lost to the team that won the SB. At least we kicked the Steeler door in. Lol.

But like you say "Didn't realize it", I wish I could have appreciated it more looking back, if I knew at the time that this was the best it's gonna be. Lol. Well yea, the 80s too. I love these, but you left out Hank Stramm’s instructions to Len Dawson to “keep matriculating that ball down the field”.

I love that short coach in black shirt talks funny. He says this ain't college this is NFL which stands for NOT FOR LONG if you keep making those calls. Hahahaha... Never thought of it like that. N. F. L. Not For Long. Hahaha. So true

Notice that there aren't many or ANY Tom Landry, Chuck Noll or Bud Grant clips. Maybe letting your team's excellence on the field speak for itself is the most effective way to win. Contrast that with Mr. Glanville. My personal favorite: Abe Gibron trying to get Bobby Douglass' attention.
