Have a s40 2000 Volvo headlight went out please help.

I can´t remove the bulb, due to itr is attached to ballast. Do you know how to remove the bulb?

I love how simple this is. If you ever needed to replace a headlight on an S40, looks like it should take all but 5 minutes. On my S80, the entire front bumper assembly has to come off to take the headlights out -_-

I have a 2003 Volvo S40. I wish my problem was as simple as replacing a bulb. My high beams went out and I went to a local mechanic to check into it. He said he'd followed the circuit and both the headlight bulbs and connections were fine -- but he "lost" the signal when it went into the ECU (something like Engine Control Unit?) and he thought it was a relay there. When I called the only Volvo dealer left in my area, they quoted me such a high price for replacing the ECU, I just quit driving the car at night! Do you know of any solution besides going to this predatory dealer?

This video is well made, but incorrectly named. No part of the video actually showed removal or replacement of a BULB. "Headlight assembly access" would be a more accurate and helpful video title.
