I really appreciate you posting unfiltered and long content like this. Most artists online show their works through timelapses or speedpainting, making it seem so ‘easy’ but in fact it is not and takes a whole lot of effort to produce these artworks. I have always rushed my work but after watching your video, I have learnt to be patient and trust the process. Cheers :3

thanks man you just inspired me (i think) to draw with this "translucent marker" method again and it works so much better for me in digital (also in traditional). i stopped drawing for a while and when getting back to it i couldn't do anything correctly again, this translucent underdrawing method helps me with the first ghost lines that are slowly corrected and the correct line becomes most visible (until you get right from the first time from habit). do you do these heads studies fully from memory or with a reference?

What I love about these rough videos is, that I don't feel bad/weird that someone spent 3 hours to make 3 sketches, unlike on speed-up process where 4 hours illustration is shown in 1 minute. Thanks for your rough content Christophe ! I feel much more confident about actually spending 3 hours to get some result instead of trying to force myself making something look good in just 10-15 minutes.

Do you draw this from reference or from imagination/memory? Also, I'm not sure if you work with traditional drawing on paper, but if you do, can you also do a video of head studies on paper? I'm a traditional artist and I really like your art, but the drawing process on digital is different from that on paper. However, no pressure though if you can't because this video is still really helpful.
