Awesome video again. But I assume the camera angle play a big role here. What angle do you use here? Still 25 deg or would 15 deg be better?

Hmm 25 is fine, as long as your lens is 2.1mm or has a bigger fov

I think this is more of an intermediate move than beginner level. It takes some practice to get the much needed spacial awareness. Start of with simple yaw spins through very wide gaps.

Thanks for the tutorials! I'd really like to suggest one for a future episode of NTTT. I've seen many pilots fly through a gap and back flip through it but it's very explosive looking like an inverted juicy flick and I can't wrap my mind around what's happening. I've tried to speed burst forward through a gap and then executed a back flip but I'm missing some special sauce 😕

@@360vroomers yes bro, when cruise at let's say 15deg forward pitch, your quad will end up pitched backward at 15deg when you turn around using only yaw input. I hope it was clear 😊

Anyone tried this in the liftoff simulator? If you try the yaw move at 1:44 without any corresponding pitch then it it just rolls over rather than a nice 180 yaw roll

So, it's not actual backwards flight, you're just using forward momentum to hover backwards for a short distance until the momentum is gone. OK. Your mislabeled title almost fooled me. True backwards flight would have you looking at the sky (unless you had a camera on a gimbal). I'll practice this in the sim & see what I come up with. Thanks.
