Alright, let's start it up! Welcome to an exhilarating gameplay commentary video of Deceive Inc, featuring the hacker, Octo! Join me as we dive into the thrilling world of espionage and deception in this action-packed multiplayer game.

Hired by Deceive Inc to steal the package, Octo must grab keycards and field upgrades to complete the mission.
For this mission we've chosen the following loadout:
Octo's Weapon 3: Calamari | Hipfire BS 6, Hipfire HS 8, ADS BS 34, ADS HS 60 | Mag Size 20 | Reload Speed 2.1s | Rate of Fire 6.0shots/s | Damage falloff hip: 15m-25m(50%) | ADS Shots costs 2 Intel instead of regular ammo, and is a sniper shot | Damage falloff ads: None.
Octo's Expertise 3: Make 'Em Fold | Instant | CD 40 | Drain Intel at 1 intel/s from all Rivals in sight for 20s. An out of cover Rival also becomes Neutralized and Exposed.
Octo's Passive 1: Edging Your Bets | Whenever Octo spends Intel there is a (5-50%) chance for Octo to gain it back based on the difference between your current intel and max intel. You will have a 35% chance at a 10 intel difference and a 60% at a 20 intel difference.
Along with the following Gadgets:
Spyglass: Can be used to interact with electronic devices from afar (not health stations / ammo dispensers). Can also be used to revive teammates.
BounceMat: Places a bounce pad that can bounce you and others upwards. Auto deflates after 1.3s. Cannot be reinflated after deflation for 1s. Cooldown: 60s on destroy or 0s if picked back up.

My guess? That Vigil in game 1 could have used the bounce mat and their expertise 3 gadget to get from the ground to the rooftops again, and that would explain why they were out of cover when you saw them.

What i find interesting is that whenever there is one person alive in a round they dont go on a intel spree unlocking safes and hacking some more. Its a great way to get experience.

What made you think they are a player at 1:25 I want to get better at identifying movements. Would be cool if you have a guide on pointing out things AI doesn’t do and spotting players.

My Expertise told me there was a spy in my vision, you can see the corners / edges of the screen flash. Then they had a very slight wiggle right around 1:24

As someone who does not play this game I have rewatched the first minute of this video like 6 times and I am still confused. What is going on with that drawer, is it empty or isn't it?

As someone who plays the game, my best guess is an npc opened it, which a lot of the time causes the item inside not to load in, since why would you need to render the item if there isn’t a player looking at it. Once he closed and opened it, the game realized a player was nearby and so it needed to render the item that was inside.

The other comment is mostly correct. While the game is loading NPCs are already on the map, and can open drawers etc as usual, but since there's no players the item inside doesn't render until a player closes and reopens the drawer

My new octo combination is doing alright with E1 + P3. Its a tactical intel combo in which I can get into a purple room extremely quickly, using the expertise often with a high Expertise Cooldown chip. Combine it with my new favourite gadget (holo-mimic) and you can realy get into places. I still like W2 tho.

I wish they would finally fix his reticle in sniper rifle. It works in lobby - it's turning yellow and more important - lines of reticle getting closer to center, so it's easier to aim. But in game it's actually telling "2 intel required" and the reticle is black, spread and hard to see. I would definitely played more with octo w3.

I've been using the sacred Scorpion Charm bcs haha funny holy damage build, but I honestly might swap it out for the pearldrake talisman +2 cus of this video, would def help my defenses
