Күн бұрынI have been immensely excited to make this video. I have always wanted a Gear Indicator, even back when we had the 900RR. I do not feel like it is essential at all to be a good rider, but it is a wonderful tool and luxury.

Spot on! Found the exact same red plug in the exact same location. My indicator had a 3 wire and spare white-plug kit. I just put the wires into the plug and put the plug into the red receiver on the loom. Bobs your uncle. 04 1000RR Australia.

I sure will do a video, but just for the record to help you out it’s just a regular ram mount but I have the ball mounted to the top of my steering stabilizer www.ebay.com/itm/RAM-Mount-RAM-B-238U-Aluminum-1-Ball-with-Diamond-Plate-/171413753399?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 You have to get long bolts but it’s a common thread pitch. Like m8 1.25 or something

You didnt complete the install - they need to go thru the "L" learn process and make sure the gears match-- sometimes its a PITA

Should of had the character against the wall with the hat backwards. (I know it's the same guy. Reason why I said character) But I loved it. I thought it was funny.

I’m looking to purchase the same gear indicator and I was also interested in the white but was told by an authorized dealer that white is hard to see in direct sunlight but I’m getting a dark windscreen so if I tuck it up by the gauge cluster it should be fine I would think. How do you like the white?

The white can be super bright. I’ve never had a problem seeing it.

and no display of action? If the bike is on stands, you should have kicked it in to gear, spin rear wheel a little and just go through the gears to see what the indicator is displaying...

What is the ram mount base u used i have mine mounted to the bold hole on the top of the tripple tree but thats a much beta spot

@@SnowDrift yeah i had some longer bolts from the kit i got left over so was able to use them cheers for the video as well im waiting for my gear indicator to arrive but had no idea on the install this helps heaps

I dont like gear gauges. I like to be in tune with the bike, which in turn makes you a better rider. Too much time spent looking at gauges is not good for safety and riding hard. The only thing I need is a speedo, strictly so I can make sure the bike has slowed down enough for cornering. Too many accidents happen when riders think they are going slower than they actually are, bad things happen usually.
