@@HealthyOver50Channel You might be surprised. Stress kills. Cold weather / lack of sunlight, living in a ugly city, work 18 hours a day x 7 days a week. Lack of sleep because no heat in the house. Not making excuses for these men, but till you have lived an ugly and depressed life of poverty it may be hard to understand. It took me a long time to learn the difficulties they face. clearly this guy is incredibly fit. quite miraculously fit. Fitter than most 20 year-olds. But, you can see his age in his face. No way he'll ever be mistaken for his son's brother, unless his brother has prematurely aged. As for the advice, it is perfect. Especially the balance between working out and resting. That balance is fundamental.

This is genetics in this video. Yes, he works hard. Working out and having the right diet will help. 99% of us will never look like this. This does NOT mean to give up hope. It just means, do things that improve YOUR health. Exercise to the best of YOUR ability. Make trades in your dietary intake that have better impact on your health. If you fall sort of an ideal like this, do not be discouraged. Keep going. It's about effort and direction, not perfection.

Very good video. It's nice to know I am on the right track. I hope to be in the best shape of my life by the time I am 70. One thing I would add to this routine is to avoid too much sun exposure and to wear a moisturizer every day to help minimize facial wrinkles. Most facial care is always geared for women, but guys should take it serious as well.

I would not rule out he uses some form of TRT. At 70, your body just isn't producing enough testosterone to allow you to work at such a peak performance. You can do the work, you just can't recover from it. I would also suggest he is using growth hormone. Cold showers and fasting will not get you this type of performance at 70 and most of you shouldn't try it. It's dishonest really and I think it would be more helpful to the general public you are trying to impress by just telling the truth! For those of you in your 70s who try these recommendations and fail, maybe it's not your fault and you were just lied too.

A direct correlation between fitness and longevity has never been conclusively proven. There are too many other variables involved. My father was incredibly active and represented his country at football. Moreover, he played tennis throughout his adult life. He died at the age of 92. My mum has never exercised and will hopefully celebrate her 92nd birthday in January.

It is strange that my heroes are getting older and older. 😂 As a man in my 40s, my role models now are mostly men in their 60s and older, many of them calisthenics enthusiasts. I'm adding this bloke to my list now. These men's lifestyles encourage me because they have shown that it is not impossible but actually realistic to aim for improved strength, agility, mobility, and power even though one's older years. There is a British chap in his 70s who started calisthenics only after his mid 60s when he retired. And he has managed to be able to do the front and back levers. That was WOW. I used to think that older men who are athletic are so because they've been at it since their 20s or 30s. But men like Graham Parrington opened my eyes. There are many more men who started living active lifestyle only in their 40s, 50, or 60s, but have succeeded in building great physiques and athleticism. There is a quote that may be attributed to Arnie: you can have results or excuses. You cannot have both. It starts in the mind. A strong body reflects a strong mind and a disciplined lifestyle.

Not sure what to believe tbh, goes on about how important intermittent fasting is & that he doesn’t have breakfast, then tries to sell a fitness book that starts with a great big breakfast. Shame, but may just be the usual intense marketing pitch & money grab

A bit too slightly built. His physique would look better were he 5-10kg ( about 10-20 pounds ) heavier.

LOL. His face still looks 70 years old. It's only his body from the neck down that appears youthful. It's sort of creepy in a "shape-shifter" kind of way.

He is doing showing off stuff in this video. That's not how you go about keeping a healthy body when older. A little more purposeful resistence exercises is more ilke it. That works, but doesn't impress the children! By the way, health doesn't really require 10% bodyfat. I would say that 15% is more healthy for an older male.
