This series is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine, I always liked them even from the start, but they've gone on to become a perfect example of just turn your brain off and enjoy the spectacle. Remember Tokyo Drift technically actually took place after 6 in the time line, so the kid from that being in this, he aged very very very fast. :V (though I wouldn't have it any other way)

Not gonna lie, this movie reminded me of the real life version of the ad on Rick and Morty's Inter-dimensional Cable. Two Guys in a Van. With Guns. And Grandmas are angry about it. Then, an Alien Sombrero Armada shows up. And let me tell you about these 2 brothers, they have a special bond. It's called Fast and the Furious 10. I mean Two Brothers. It's just called Two Brothers. 😄

These films are so fun! Whoever pitched magnets at the production meeting is a genius. I agree with your Bond theory, though thankfully the last 2 Bond films have been a return to form.

I have two entirely different ratings for any piece of media: One rates entertainment value. The other rates literary/artistic value. True Lies with Arnie Swarznegger is one of my all time favourite 5 star movies for entertainment. Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey are two of my all time favourite 5 star movies for literary/artistic merit. I personally find those two movies enthralling as entertainment as well, but I can see why some other people find both of them boring. A movie like Pulp Fiction I rate at 5 stars for both entertainment and literary;y/artistic merit. A lot of people don't notice how moral/ethical the outcome of Pulp Fiction is: The 2 main characters who choose to walk away from a life of crime get to ride off into the sunset. The other main characters who stay in a life of crime die, get raped, or otherwise come to sticky ends. And the story structure flips one of the audience's favourite point of view characters we are on the side of into a baddie we are happy to see die, all without giving him a downward character arc. If you think about that at all, it really makes one question how happy we are to go along with a bad person when he's a charming guy. Veeeery interesting movie from a moral point of view. Watching Vin Diesel in the cinema in Triple X was such a fun experience. Loved it. I also enjoyed Riddick. Helen Mirrin has been a cinema crush of mine for ages. I adored her hamming it up with a straight face in RED, with other favourites Bruce Willis, John Malkovich and Morgan Freeman. Another entertainment movie favourite of mine. I never wound up seeing the Fast and Furious movies, but it was fun listening to you giggle through this one. Never heard you outright giggle with glee before. Edit Edit: Triple X struck me very much as the New James Bond when it came out. It tipped it's head to the debonair, cocktail sipping Bond, left out the misogynist historical baggage (as far as I remember) and tripled or quintupled the action quotient.

Not a fan of the franchise (nor of the James Bond franchise, for that matter), but I do enjoy a reaction that simply announces, "That was FUN"! I need more fun. (I especially enjoyed the Spiderman-esque car on a cable swing about off a cliff face! Haha!)

Movies like these are just pure fun. You can just tell that everyone on set is having loads of laughs. The thing is they are all laughing at themselves and everyone knows what kind of shite they are making. But one of those Transformers Movies, or The Superman destroying everything movies. Well. Everyone involved in those noise and explosion fests are making those movies while look ing down on everyone thinking they are making great art. It's total bollox. Fast and furious celebrates it's silliness and embraces the absurdity.

Fast 7 is the last fast and furious that is about the cars, these new ones are just full on warfare and stupid heists. i was so disappointed in theatres when i watched this

This movie was so stupid that it actually made me angry. I wanted to throw my couch at my TV.
