Yes! The Eighties metal was definitely a boys club. If you wanted to go to a concert back then with lots of women around, it was Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Cinderella, Poison, Motley Crue and even Scorpions. But women metal musicians were few and far between. Lita Ford, Vixen and Heart were about all I can think of. But most of that is more POP than Metal

Cool concept! My wife also is not a big fan of metal (more of a punk rock person), so I feel your pain. If your wife is looking for females in metal, maybe show her some of the stuff from Lita Ford (I especially like the duet with Ozzy) or maybe "Lisa" if she wants something to show a change from the "RARRR" style of metal and shows more of the emotion/pain behind the anger?

Why did your wife not like the guitar solos can you make her understand that guitar solos are everything when it comes to rock and heavy metal. Like how the hell did she not get her face melted listening to Yingwie Malmsteen or fucking George Lynch and all the other great guitar players in the song. And when she was like there was no women involved it was just a boys club I was like are you fucking kidding me she’s one of those like oh my God seriously. Like I’m sorry if Blondie wasn’t in it she wasn’t heavy metal she was a popstar she would not have fit into what they were doing it would’ve been stupid. Like what part of that does she not understand and I guarantee you that if you made her listen to guitar solos from the great Randy Rhoads she definitely seems like she wouldn’t get it and she wouldn’t care which is sad because she seems like the type of person that doesn’t understand greatness and it’s sad because if your face does not get melted listening to great guitar solos from great guitar players then you’re not human I’m sorry it’s like who are you where did you come from. Like does she not realize the talent it takes to be able to play like that like does she realize what it takes to be a great guitar player like this she realized what it takes to have such greatness.
