Late Basorun Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola (GCFR) was a man known for his wit and wisdom in his life time.
The late Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland had native wisdom in abundance and once he exhibits them at given instances, people around him marveled at his ways with words and philosophy.
During a room chat inside the Palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan land on Saturday February 7, 1987, MKO Abiola who had just been installed as the BASORUN OF IBADAN LAND gave some insightful wisdom about the meaning of 'Government and Power'.
He gave his analysis in pure Yoruba dialect and kept hammering on what it means to be in power and how people should respect power and authority so as not to fall victim of whims and caprices of power play.
Even though, the message is 31 years old, it seems to tally with what is presently happening in Ibadan land (Oyo State) between the Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on one side, the Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji and famous musician, Yinka Ayefele (Tungba Gospel King) on the other side, which equally led the Governor to allegedly influence his men to break down the N800 Million edifice aka Music House belonging to Yinka Aiyefele on Felele Road, Ibadan, Oyo State last weekend on thump of allegation of physical obstruction.
