When I joined the military there was a certain frequency that I had trouble hearing with one of my ears. When I'm done in the military I intend to become a policeman, and I need good hearing for that too, so I have to be careful.

I even put on earmuffs while doing the dishes. I don't like the sound of it. And vacuuming the house, they are always on, much more comfortable.

Maybe don't talk so loudly, then we might be able to keep our hearing as we're watching your video.

While I am all for the education to the masses about the dangers of excessively loud noise levels. I think the narrator is being a little bit dramatic. The human body is a living organism capable of self-repair if you work with it and not against it. I've been to at least a few rock concerts in my life where I can remember leaving with that annoying constant ringing in my ears. This guy talks like it's all black and white as though your ears or damaged and broken or working and good. There are levels in between this stuff. If you have gone to a loud rock concert and you hear that constant ringing in your ears it means you were overexposed and you have damaged your hearing a bit. But it's probably not irreversible. Don't go to a rock concert every weekend. Give your ears a few months to rest and heal in between concerts. And you can always use earplugs during the concerts to protect yourself if you must go to them. A good clean diet will speed the healing process also.

Wrong. Once damage has been done to the sensitive nerve cells, that's it, there's no going back. My dad was an ignorant dumbass who thought his ears were "tough" since he got used to the loud noises of his power tools. Now he's got bad tinnitus and maybe some hearing loss. Don't be an ignoramus.
