Brilliant system in health to ensure life maintaining renal perfusion and urine production, not so good in heart failure where it is part of a viscious downward spiral.

Hi Dr John, are you, by any chance, aware about the involvement of "intra-cardiac RAAS" in heart failure? As in, local tissue-specific RAAS components (Angiotensinogen, Renin...) in the heart and whether it gets activated in the setting of heart failure?
