I think more intelligent species like orca and dolphins know that humans are perfectly capable of exterminating them if they mess around, so they leave us alone. There was a shark panic about a century ago after a streak of attacks, and the response decimated the shark population for decades. You don't mess with the apex predator.

Older sharks also generally know we aren't food as well. Shark attacks are fatal due to the test bite not due to them actually wanting to eat us. Also fun fact if you respect the hierarchy of a huge feeding group like on a whale corpse you have next to nothing to fear because if a small or medium shark tried to start shit with you one of the bigger sharks would drive it off. It's really fascinating how intelligent sea life as a whole

It's terror only if you concider it as a terror. You don't concider a blue whale a terror because you know it won't purposely do anything to you. Orcas follow pretty much the same pattern with humans, they are curious but not dangerous because humans are not their natural food. And if you say yeah but there have been cases where orca attacks human, I can say that there are more cases where pet dog attacks its owner. That does not mean that a pet dog would propose threat by default.
