In this enlightening interview, Serena welcomes Dr. Philip Ovadia, a renowned heart surgeon and author of "Stay Off My Operating Table." Dr. Ovadia dives into the controversial legacy of Ansel Keys, whose flawed research led to widespread fear of dietary fat and influenced public health policy for decades. He challenges the mainstream focus on LDL cholesterol levels, advocating for a deeper understanding of cholesterol quality, inflammation, and insulin resistance. Discover why eliminating processed foods and adopting a nutrient-dense, animal-based diet might be the key to better heart health. Join the conversation as Dr. Ovadia shares his insights and practical advice for those seeking to take control of their metabolic health.

Dr Ovadia explains everything so clearly… it makes perfect sense to me… I was vegetarian for over 30 years but after reading Dr Ovadia’s book I’m leaning to a carnivore diet to get my blood sugar down…

I eat a ton of salt with my Ribeyes, yum and my BP is 125/65 normally. I am 68 years old. High BP is caused by sugar and garbage food.

I am getting the lifescreening tomorrow. My quack doctor here refused to give me a script for a CAC score. Next year I will use a Keto/Carnivore doctor even if it is through telehealth.

I think you can make your own appointment for a CAC. They aren’t expensive at all

@@carnivorerevolution Some cities maybe like in Orlando but here in South Carolina, like in Charleston or Columbia you can make an appointment but they always request for the doctor script. I will keep checking but I have my life screening appointment today. Thanks.

I agree… processed food and sugar is the problem… even as a vegetarian I pretty much cut out processed food and sugar so other than my blood 🩸 sugar being pre diabetic.. I don’t have a weight problem or any other health issues.. I just want to get my blood sugar from A1C 6.1 to 4.9.

Being a vegetarian, you must eat carbs and carbs turn to glucose in your body which can give you Insulin resistance and a high A1C. Vegetarianism lacks the nutrients that are easily absorbed into the body vs Fatty Beef And Fatty Lamb. Fat from meat is loaded with nutrients that reverse many issues and metabolic diseases.

I think I could be a lean mass hyper responder with LDL @ 551. 6 foot@160 pounds. My VLDL was a little high on my recent test at 38 and immediately went into a four day water fast. My HDL was was 87 which is good for me. Used to be in the 40's before I went Carnivore. After one year Carnivore, I started including 1/2 Avocado and 1/3 Cucumber in my eating daily. The rest I eat is still Fatty Beef and Fatty Lamb.
