Hi All,
I had an early morning epiphany and had to do another video! I've been having so much fun experimenting with coffee, bubbles, and now watercolors and inks. I also love making these gorgeous papers using tracing paper and vellum but needed to find an easier way. In this video, I'll share my secret with you. I've found a way to make create beautiful bubble papers on vellum and tracing paper and even rice paper. I hope you enjoy this informative video where I'll share all the tips and tricks I've learned along the way.

Thank you so much! I am working on scanning may favorites for a digital kit. I was thinking I'm pretty much finished with this series for now but they are so much fun to make that I may have to do more so I may do another video....we'll see....🥰

Fantastic. I love your DIY bubble applicator tools as well! I particularly like the ones at the end on an alcohol base. Fascinating. All gorgeous colours, too.

Welcome!! Fair warning...it's very addictive...what started out as one day of fun to answer a view request has turned into a couple of weeks and a so far 5 episode series. This is why I have so many unfinished project. I'm easily distracted. 🤣

Beautiful! I love your creativity and that you are willing to share your ideas with us. How does the soap/bubbles affect the paper surface as far a "writability"? Does the paper feel soapy after it dries? Dies it transfer to other papers or surfaces?

Thank you. Topics for a future video. I'm hoping to figure out the best way to prep these papers for different project ideas. First I'm scanning them to share in a digital kit. When printed at home the soap won't be an issue at all for projects. Stay tuned! 🥰

Have you tried using a few drops of Glycerin when making your bubbles? I did research when my kids were little to make their bubbles last longer when blowing them and the glycerin worked great. Not sure how it will work with ink, coffee, etc. to make your effect, but thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich says there are many uses for glycerin with our art supplies. Looking forward to seeing your video if you try it.

I did not try it but did think of it when the conditioner was mentioned wondering if the glycerin in ether condition was the ingredient that made the bubbles last longer. I do have glycerin in my craft arsenal and the reason I did not experiment with it was that in the past, I have used the glycerin to preserve natural leaves and was afraid using the glycerin on the paper would make it feel like it never dried. However, I have also used glycerin to make "leather" paper to keep it pliable and also used distress inks and oxides and that worked so maybe I should give it a try...🤔 I'll have to give it a try now and maybe another video if I like the results. Stay tuned!

Thank you so much! At some point I will do some projects with these. In the meantime, I'm scanning them for a digital kit. My home is actually in northern Nevada. We have a second place in Paso Robles where we lived for 18 years. It is more central coast.

I am curious, maybe I missed it, what do you seal these with being they are water soluble? Or do you?
