A sad song, but an absolutely beautiful tribute. Losing your true love never leaves your heart, and their name is embedded in your being - more permanent than a tattoo. It's been 26 years for me, and that love is still in my every heartbeat. It is not sadness. It is the beat of joyful memories.

This made me cry and I NEVER cry. Just pushed my younger boyfriend out on his own. We were together for seven years. I have Metastatic Melanoma stage IV. He wanted to be here, but he has an ENTIRE life. He moved to Costa Rica and it is killing us both. I AM 30 YEARS his senior. I am all out of fight. 💔

I love your reviews, specially when you do P!nk. I’m a HUGE fan of hers and I absolutely love and respect the message in all of her songs. She got me through some real rough times. Depression, anxiety, and happy to say I’m sober thanks to her music.

Wow, i am not a crier but this one got me. 😭 Tough to get through, but beautiful❤ I know her dad and a close friend passed away from cancer in past couple years.

This song came out the exact day I ended my relationship after 8 years of trying to build bridges...and it's not that I don't care about him any more, he'll always be important, we keep in touch... And that's what it's about, isn't it? It's the question how you handle it when there's not enough love left to stay together as a couple, but it's not nothing...and that's painful. But it's also just so good if you can make it to good friend status...and find a new partner who gets it. And personally I thank my lucky stars that it seems like this is possible for me. We don't have to be cold as ice.

I was unfortunate enough to lose my mother in February this is one of the songs that played at her funeral whenever I listen to this just can't keep it together the lyrics match her perfectly she lost a fight to her demons which eventually took over and we lost her 💔
