As a person who only plays dead formats in mtg, the biggest mistake I felt the community made was trying to get the attention of blizzard. It is way better when the devs are not involved. Since they only care about how to profit from it. i am sad to see this game mode since this is the only format I care about.

this kinda thing sucks - the amount of $ i have spent on classic golden cards as it was the only mode i played was quite a lot. will i get refunded? no. will i invest in blizzard anymore? no

I haven't played anything else since the release of classic mode. the non-rotating format was like a dream for me. I didn't have to invest time to study new cards, nerfs and rotations. I just turned it on and played whatever I wanted. brought a friend here to this format and shared his enthusiasm and love for classic. this is really sad. RIP classic :(

Member berries aside, I just liked Classic because of the limited card pool and lack of Discover coin flip RNG / power creep that makes playing the game feel pointless to me. Yeah zoobots were tedious to grind through but honestly I'd take that any day over the shit show of ladder on Wild or Standard. Both are painfully unfun and it never gets better.

oh wow, I disenchanted my whole collection in order to craft all the classic set golden because I didn't like the new direction and didn't want to give Blizzard any money anymore regardless. Cool to see all that has no more value now. Fucking Blizzard man

Wow, yesterday I came back just for classic. Used 4k dust and 800g to craft and buy packs. And now hearing that it will be removed. Damn, bad luck.

Hearthstone Classic is still available in Tabletop Simulator, if the community is interested in playing it there.

Well, this is sad. Thank you for the great times we've had and memories we've made on stream, it really was fun. Hearthstone is a really important game for me and the most fun i've had with it was by far in classic. Let's hope it will return someday, same as your stream!

I liked playing Classic. Maly Rogue is about the only deck I've been able to play for a long time without getting bored and needing to switch to a different deck. Agree that the bots were a huge problem. I initially had to get into top 400 legend just to face a human. I also would have liked a slow introduction of older sets. Hope Twist has some fun formats/seasons. The initial format is not at all appealing to me - it appeases neither of my appetites for reduced power level over Standard/Wild or playing with older cards I liked, and the card pool is too large despite banning neutrals. I was always hoping for a limited format with five or six sets with one rotating out and another coming in each month. Suppose the beauty of Twist is that you can sit out one month and try it the next without truly falling behind.

It's too bad Hearthstone Classic doesn't exist, it was my favorite mode, but I had to stop playing it because of the bots, it was super annoying to play against them. Instead of solving the problem of the bots, Blizzard creates a new mode, which is "Hearthstone with a Twist", so it is "Taver Brawl", but not per week, but per season.

Can’t we make a petition of some sort? Perhaps spam their support with mad emails? I as many others have disenchanted and crafted so so many golden classic cards cause it is all there’s left of good stuff in HS (Besides BTG) - and although I don’t play as much as I used to it’s nice to return to classic once in a while. Either way thank you Dex for all the good content!

I just started playing Classic today, and got to rank d5 thinking I'd finally find a human playing the game, and still haven't. That brought me to this video. This is very sad. I regret I didnt play sooner, because it sounds like I missed out on something really fun. All said though, there's only one solution, and that is making a private server for Hearthstone Classic. Then the community can play the game they prefer and develop it how they want. Who cares if it's illegal . . . what are they gonna do? Ban your hearthstone account? No loss.

Classic got me playing again after like 4-5 years of having 0 interest. I played all my old favourites. Hit legend. Nearly got crystal Ragnaros. But I couldn't keep going. Zoobots ruined it. I was ready to quit again, but decided to try standard. See if I could keep up. Ended up having loads of fun. Except against that Warlock immolate card as a control deck. Jesus, that sucks so bad. Now, Death Knight might be one of my favourite things they've ever added to the game. Hearthstone is officially back in my rotation. Still never gonna give Activision-Blizzard another penny though. RIP Classic. Again.

maybe if they keep the mode on "friendly challenge", that would allow to make tournaments in classic format.

Man im gonna cry:( this was only fun mode i played and tbf i didnt even noticed any bots iv had just fun and that was it!Wondering what will happen to my collection, hopefully they would atleast give me 1600 for every legendary and i have almost all! If not im wanting refund for all the packs i bought for real money.

I have only one question left. How anyone is able to avoid bots?

this is bs! Classic was loved cuz it was balanced imo and better in almost all ways. The reason was it couldn't be monetized.

I played Hearthstone from C'thun launch until they demon hunter. Heard by accident on 2022 that Hearthstone had a classic mode (Yea, i came later to the party) and loved playing it with control paladin. Logged on the game yesterday to find out that the only mode that i played disappeared. Hearthstone Classic had become a companion when i was on the kitchen cooking or doing the dishes and i will miss him.

i came to the classic party pretty late. wish i had known there's a discord community like this. and yeah, i've stopped playing few weeks after bcs of bots even in diamond and it felt stale for me. funnily enough, the urge to play something less rng directed me to mtg arena.

This is so sad. I’m probably never playing standard again. And it’s nice to revisit classic hearthstone from time to time. This was a mistake.

It REALLLLY sucks this mode got removed. I was having a lot of fun playing OG hearthstone again and not these new pay to win expansions coming out it feels like every damn few months. Guess it's battlegrounds for life.

I had long break from Hearthstone untill the classic mode was released. I spend a lot of time on that mode and I wish I could spend more. Blizzard made terrible mistake in my opinion. Classic mode was the only one which I was playing just for fun. Im dissapointed. We just need hope for better tommorow...

I'm really optimistic. We don't really know yet how often they gonna rotate the valid expansions in twist but they're constantly teasing there are way more to come and I hope this doesn't only include the announcement of the next mainline expansion (of August). After Classic launched I played it for like a season, so a month. I wasn't really into it bc afterall I like their new ideas however still devoted to the old cards. So, for this reason I'm a wild player. Probably still going to play wild bc it's gonna be refreshing to think about some mad combo or rage about the existence of Big Priest or Secret Mage but still. BUT what I want is to become a Twist mode main. I want to adore it so much and yet, I'm sold. For me this beta season which is going to be from Ashes of Outland to the present is not that exciting but hey it's gonna be without neutrals. So who knows what crazy new deck ideas will be out there. I'm coping for a good Blackrock meta or like a WotOG meta. Last thing: they tweeted that sometimes it's gonna look more like standard, sometimes like wild or classic. But there gonna be completey unique ones, those I'm truly hyped about. Where they can combo like the two mainline mech expansions: GvG and Boomsday Project. Sorry for the long comment :D
