Shudderwock has always been viable in control shaman decks ; but it is in COMBO decks that he is not good anymore, because of the chain gang nerf ;)

Chain gang reads: summon another saronite chain gang. No longer a buffed copy or shuder.

Saronite Chain Gang now says it just makes another Chain Gang, not a copy. Blizz essentially made ShudderOTK a wild thing with Doppelgangster, which isn't prevalent.

It's still viable though.

@@derrilazkia1002 that was last video. He made no mention this game. I was talking specifically about him not playing totem or firefly at 5 min. to get more board presence against 8 to face. At 6 he didn't roll totem to go for spell power, which he got and could have kept his firefly on board. Then he used hagatha before shudderwock which allowed it to be killed with ziliax from the 3 dmg to all. He also could have used spells the turn before to cash in on the frog battlecry.

@@davenova3505 He plays dozens of games a day, im sure there are going to be a few with misplays. If you record and rewatch your games, you'll probably notice that you make the same amount.

Not only 2 mana 8 damg but also a 4 damg weapon. So at least 12 damg. To face when he has no minions.

Jon Belmont they put ragnaros in the hall of fame not because it was op, they put it there because ragnaros was the only 8 drop people were using, which made games a bit repetitive, along with sylvanus and azure drake doing the same for 5 drops.

Mosab Mousa and the reason everyone played it was because it was OP. You’re both correct.

And to play it you need to play and keep a dead card on Turn 1 and have a deck full of suboptimal cards. Not to mention the fact that your opponent can play around it. Whereas Hunter needs to put one good card into their deck to essentially turn themselves into a singleplayer boss.

J. Gremmer I wouldn't say op , just that it was the only good 8 drop making it "op"then. If it were released now, it would just be a 8 drop that would contest lich King in the 8 drop slot. It's simply a 8 drop with a powerful effect, much like lich King, only instead of value it provides damage. Unless OP means something different to you, OP to me is something like quest rogue, or unnerfed cubelock or raza priest, no inherent counters and strong overall. Strong doesn't mean op, oh and quest warrior is far from op, it's just a win condition in a control deck, much like Jaina DK or Guldan DK.
