Syafiq Razip I have to disagree with you. That fact that a single card can turn a tempo deck into a near infinite resource deck is unhealthy and unfun to play against.

+Jacob Burton better than having every hunter deck suck. Before rexxar, all hunters were useless. Except hard aggro hunters, those were good for the first 5 turns, and then they were also useless. Hunter's biggest problem was his hero power. Very bad hero power that suits only hard aggro decks. That's a very bad limitation of the class.. it makes it boring, unfun , uncompetitive with very limited design space. All these were solved by rexxar.. Is it an OP card? Definetly And if that card was in another class it would break the game. But hunter needed an OP card like this.

I think that has more to do with the class design if anything. The fact that Hunter 'needs' one of the most powerful cards in the game just to function is indicative of bad design. The same can be said about a lot of the Hero cards. Hunter was a class designed originally for aggression yet they seem adamant about straying away from that. That's why the class generally feels so weak. Aggressive decks can be very interesting just look at most variants of zoolock throughout this games history - Prince 2. It can be done they just don't want to.

Jerdor46 but the other classes had options, it would be stupid to have a class that literally can only play one style. I agree that a lot of it os the design’s fault, but that’s exactly why it should be tuned, not just “ok, our bad, class sucks, just play the other ones”

Nah the meta is very Aggro centric rn, Games only last long against Big spell mage, Rexar Decks,Druids, and Warriors. ONly a few decks and Warrior is the only class that doesnt have a aggressive version.

warrior has rush which is aggro arguably

rush is for board control not aggro

And Druids for one aren't annoying as hell, while every top tier druid deck is the same with different core cards, it's still not infuriatig to play against since there's Mossy horror and Geist. (Me being a Druid aswell)

It's good meta for control players. For midrange it's hell. Then again, there haven't been good midrange decks since ungoro.

Yes, when something has lifesteal or poisonous, it is applied to all damage it does, even if it's not strictly an attack (like bloatbat's aoe and in this case hydra's damage to your hero)

Yeah and so the downside to Hydra really isnt relevant anymore and it's just insane.

Very important to know if you're about to volcano one of those hydras for "lethal," I'm sure many people have thrown games that way.

Josh Burns It used be done in KOFT with Rogue, rogue usually just played 1-drops Keleseth and the 4/4 Lifesteal Prince, the 3/3 faceless manipulator in that deck is meh though

I know prince 4 had its time in rogue but I can't remember ever hearing about or seeing prince 4 and 2 in the same deck. That sounds bad to me, but you may have seen it.

I imagine if you wanted to play hard against control decks that last this long, could put in Dire Frenzy instead of Subject 9. Especially if you find yourself a really solid zombeast to drop it on.

Subject 9 is good in this deck. just not good against baku warrior.

Well part of it might have to do with what you pick for a first beast, because the end result has to be playable (10 mana or less)

Question is, is it actually good? Cuz for streamers like Thijs, he only uploads games where his tier 4 deck did amazing and makes it look like its every game. I bet lots of beginners crafted some expensive tier 4 deck cuz of him.

@@queendread4427 that is indeed true but i did some research on this deck one of them being kibler talking bout this deck in the omnislash vid and the win rate is quite pretty.And i just had to craft sub 9 cause i already had the rest of the cards needed.

its more of a '"99% of hunters cards are aggro focused and are immidietly shut down by any of the op healing/armor gain cards in the game and the countless removal" kind of problem rexxar makes you go MUCH slower but gives value and options,its arguably very fun to play AS rexxar but i agree that its bad design in terms of its sackiness(aka you draw it you win,you dont you lose)

No, Boom isn't, but Gul'Dan doesn't draw as much of his power from getting a hero power turn after turn-- he gets more of his power from the Battlecry, while Rexxar, Jaina, and Dr. Boom don't. So Rexxar, Jaina, and Boom, in particular, are inherently different and inherently promote more draw variance because they fundamentally change the game based when they are drawn and played, while Gul'Dan often doesn't even get played right away when drawn if enough demons haven't died yet.

Yeah, although I think it's more of an issue with the lack of interactivity with both legendaries and hero powers. Since you can't put in duplicates or tutor out the one copy you have (barring specific cases of course) legendary cards by their very nature amplify the draw RNG of the game to its absolute extremes, which feels bad for the player using them. Then since they practically refuse to print any sort of lasting (read: useful enough to actually use) hero power interaction the opponent has to real way to stop them from doing whatever they do every single turn, which feels bad for them. The solution to this kind of problem is more interaction on both sides. That way both players feel like they can meaningfully influence the outcome of the match and have more key decisions along the way. It's kind of weird since it's asking for power creep to balance out the power creep that just happened but the randomness of the game is far more frustrating than the power level at the moment in my opinion, I'd be fine with decks becoming even more monstrously efficient if it means there's more to it than just drawing a hand and hoping it's better than your opponent's hand.

I think using the silence to get direhorns is clearly optimal but isn’t as important in a matchup when your win condition is eventually overwhelming the opponent with infinite huge threats, the extra dire beast simply buys your opponent one extra turn if the draw it .
