I think that actually Elemental Mage is pretty good and I wouldn’t say it’s Tier 3 deck, if u can choose your hand correctly/have luck with drawing almost every deck is gonna be good. I just mean that for good players there ain’t something like Tier 3 deck and it’s just about playstyle etc.

@@GlRTHQUAKE (he drew Zihi against combo deck) Any Mecha'Thun or pally otk always screws against Zihi. If Brian had no Zihi in hand, game would be over and Dog'd win. The thing is that almost every time you have Zihi being a tempo-deck you just crush late-game-combo decks.

Yeah, Kibler is the only person really playing this deck, so dog was just confused. Arcanosaur makes zero sense in any other archetype, so it's not surprising he didn't know what it did. He wasn't being insulting; he knows it's Kibler.

especially given Dog is a similar type of "I wanna build a deck that breaks conventions". lots of disrespect to an innovative player.

Kibler doesn't play much Arena unfortunately. Beating Kripp in ladder wouldn't really mean much because he would just shrug it off.

If old style midrange decks were relevant this card would be played in every single one of them. He is kinda like loatheb.

curious to know why you thought it was a "meme" card. It doesn't do anything fun or outrageous like Togwaggle or Hakkar or Mecha'thun. It struck me right away as an anti-control/anti-combo tool a la Loatheb/Geist, suited for midrange decks specifically.

The problem with mojo is that you need to understand your opponent's deck well enough to know exactly when to play it. Otherwise, it is basically useless. One of Kibler's strengths is that he understands matchups very well and knows how his opponent's decks work, so he knows exactly when to drop the hammer. Even then, he was contemplating dropping it for a few turns, which could have changed the results of the game if he had. Also - Kibler has said on stream that it is the sort of card that only works in a deck that can apply enough pressure that the extra time matters, which is true. Between it not always mattering for a given deck and the fact that it is very easy to misplay, it makes it into very few decks. I personally wouldn't play it because I don't have the same grasp of an opponent's deck that Kibler does. And I think that's true of most players...even some of the pros.

It sees play in three meta decks so not really a meme.

but Kibler's deck actually was a pile of garbage with few good cards :) It doesn't mean that the deck is unplayable. Look at aggro/tempo singleton paladins with Octosari, their decks are also kinda garbage but they're viable even in high-legend. And I think Dog's deck also was more than half filled with garbage and he would admit it if he was asked. Novice engineer, hammer of wrath, potion of heroism, lul, just look at these cards, they're so bad in any non-combo deck. Same with 4 mana 3/3 phoenix, he saw plays only in elemental decks (there was 2 of them, iirc, in whole hearthstone) and on arena.

Just like most deathknights in general. Happy they will rotate out or am I wrong?

@@Rasurable there are some fun ones like the warrior one (not Dr boom) and the shaman one, the rogue one is the most balanced since it's a slow card in a fast class and I love it's design, my problem is with Jaina, Gul'dan, Anduin and Uther (only the HP), those are essentially the anti-fun ones and I absolutely despise playing against them

I'm satisfied at the outcome. Dog is cocky. If Dog loses it's cuz of the card game, if Dog wins it's because "he's the shit"

Cocodufable of course I do. It draws 3 cards, but discards spells. Still doesn't change the fact that dog was asking if he plays spell literally as he was playing a spell
