Well to be fair, unless you have something were you need max dmg in one turn and the full mana next turn (like Pyroblast), but you at least need 2 or more turns to kill him, ping face is always the right choice. It generally makes no sense to push max dmg if you can't kill anyone in one turn (unless you really need the exact mana) which is never the case with Mage, because you always will have double Fireball and double Frostbolt, in Sum 12 Mana. So if you need the 18 Dmg from all the spells, you definitely NEED two turns to push them through. Meaning: You ALWAYS will have the opportunity to squeeze a Fireblast in.

He still misplayed though I would have waited to play the Antonidas and then frost nova. Next turn you'd deal 10 from a fireball, fireblast, and a frostbolt (and 15 if Kibler doesn't hex the Antonidas.)

How bad at the game does one have to be to think Ice Block is overpowered? Seriously, too many people complain about it. Ice Block might look like a card that's overpowered, but in reality, for various reasons, it's clearly not. First of all, if people stopped netdecking all the time, they'd realize that you can play Eater of Secrets to straight up counter it. Secondly, what good is it to be alive, if he can't kill you and will die the turn after anyway? Just heal or apply pressure... Kel'thuzad looks like a card that would be straight up busted. All they have to do is build a board and you can never beat them. But was that card broken? Obviously not. Ice Block may seem uninteractive and broken, but it's much less of an issue than cards like Bloodlust, which can threaten lethal from high health with just a few totems on the board, forcing people to waste resources, even though the opponent might not even have it, or Murloc Warleader, which is just straight up overpowered and can decide games based on whether or not you draw it.

You see, the real issue with Iceblock is that there is little to no counter-play. You CAN play around bloodlust and warleader because it requires an established board presence to be relevant. You say "Eater of Secrets" but putting that card against your deck severely lowers your winrate drastically against decks that don't run secrets, and it still requires you to draw it before the mage can burn you. Its only relevant now because every meta deck runs secrets. How bad at the game do you have to be to not understand that not every deck can run relevant healing? You're very two dimensional with your argument. Then again, I'm just some "netdecking" shitter thats gotten to legend multiple times without playing meta decks and have written guides, so I should listen to some random rank 10 on youtube right?

Insulting people doesn't make your arguments right, making false assumptions doesn't either. Apparently you like getting aggressive for no reason. So here's a piece of advice: Don't start insulting people if you intend to be taken seriously. You lost all credibility as soon as you did that. Btw. anyone can get to legend, it just takes time, some good cards and a little bit of meta knowledge. You're not really special, deal with it. Saying Ice Block is OP is like saying Frost Nova is OP. You just can't possibly kill them if your deck doesn't run a burn spell or weapons! But guess what, your minions are still there, they'll just kill the mage one turn later. Same goes with Ice Block. You can't kill them, but you can just do it one turn later. You can even heal up, and if you apply enough pressure, they won't be able to kill you. Besides, there are a lot of counters to it, Hunter hero power straight up counters it, and Eater of Secrets is the obvious one, which you simply refuse to use. People run Ooze against Pirate Warrior in almost every control deck. The only other time it's useful is against Tirion or maybe Medievh. That doesn't make every other matchup worse, does it? Including a tech card in your deck increases your win rate, not lower it. If it doesn't, you're either bad or just not facing enough of that class to justify countering it, so why cry about it in the first place? Either way, apparently all you can do is insult other people and cry, so there's no real point in talking to you.

You do not understand,firstly you could not have known that if you played the game yourself without possibility to see the whole game like in this video,also he would have been at 1 health and not die and with healing acolyte the opponent would have burned 1 more card which he would not have been able to use.That card unfortunatelly in this game was not even played it was his last card but if he did this he would not have burned the potion aoe and eater of secrets but something else entirely.

i mean, if i play against a freeze mage i would of course assume him to alex me to 15 then kill me with burn spells. Only reason kibler won this game was that his opponent didnt run a second pyroblast + he got unlucky with the glyphs. I wouldn't risk my own hero's health total and potentially dying because of it in order for the opponent to burn one more extra card

Except Shadowstep doesn't let you tempo out cards early. (for example You can't use Shadowstep to play turn 1 Vicious Fledgling.) In fact it slows you down a bit to gain value. You need an initial investment of mana. In general Shadowstep is pretty weak without a valuable battlecry minion.

Against a combo/burn deck it's worth it. Freeze Mage has a lot of draw in it, so anytime you mill them it makes the draw cards less valuable. And honestly a lot of your cards are worthless against Freeze Mage. You just need to stay alive until they run out of resources.
