+Aloisio B. Neto Wasn't like that too long ago. In fact Paladin was absolute trash tier before Goblins and Gnomes, and only got OP with in the last two expansions combined. The meta changes. I do agree that Priest was always kinda iffy, though. Let's put our hopes on standard.

+ktktktktktktkt I think his play was fine. Definitely plausible to go for the sea giant as soon as possible, but arena is quite the value game. If you played the annoyotron and the sea giant, your mech would probably not of lived and you wouldn't get the value from repair bot. Also, if the warlock had a charger or some way to do a bit of damage to get rid of the divine shield, your annoyotron gets killed for free, which leaves the rest of your board open and gives him more options. Buffing it to a 1/6 meant that even if he got rid of the shield, he still could not get through with just the pit lord. Obviously it didn't matter too much this game, since he won anyway, but it's hard to determine the obvious best play unless hindsight is on your side, so remember that.

TheGreatwhitellama Arena is much more of a tempo game than a value game. why would you think that the annoyotron would die? I think my explanation is quite reasonable and besides, the health on the annoyotron is hardly worth reducing your power on board for.

ktktktktktktkt You're thinking of the board in it's current state, I and probably trump are considering it's future state. Making your opponent exhaust resources on a 1/2 is better than him doing it on any other minion you have. That's the benefit of having taunt and being able to buff him so that even if he is able to remove the divine shield with a spell for example, he still can't get through with the pit lord alone. If he has to expend 3 actions/cards to deal with it, which he had to, then that is completely worth buffing it's health. He still got his giant out, he still won, it simply secures the win. Your explanation is very reasonable, but so is trump's play.

TheGreatwhitellama yes the play is reasonable but i'm pretty sure it's not optimal. If you review the footage, there are no cuts yet on this turn and trump just instantly goes for the trade. Very likely he didn't consider the play. And please, how much further into the future are you thinking, with my line of play, you also happen to set up lethal if your opponent doesn't have anything to clear with.

ktktktktktktkt I guess if you're setting up lethal by putting the giant out then it is probably the better play, yes. How much into the future? How about the very next turn? If setting up lethal is your big point about making that play, you are assuming that he doesn't have an answer to any of your minions with 7 cards in his hand. Even if this is arena, that's a pretty big if. No matter what play you go with though, it's not as big of a deal as you are making this out to be. We know now that the warlock didn't have anything to remove his minions, but it's easy to call the right play with hindsight, as I already stated. Arena is as much a tempo game as a value game since you often resort to top decking in matches. You need every value you can squeeze out of the cards you are given.

Tudor Naconecinii It must be so freaking hard for them to put a number on those little bars and make them different coloured. Explanation. You have 3 2 mana minions and 1 2 mana spell. The 2 Mana bar would have a number 4 with 1/4 blue as spell and 3/4 orange as now. They could even put the different coloured numbers there. There are so many possibilities they could avoid the players counting their cards with the cursor. They are just lazy af.

Bindair Dundat That would still not solve the problem. Some 2 mana spells are 2 drops, and some 2 mana minions are not 2 drops. Works for other mana costs too. Examples: Dire Wolf Alpha is not a 2 drop, Big Game Hunter is not a 3 drop, Power of the Wild is a 2 drop, Muster for Battle is a 3 drop.

+Vandal Savage Standard will come in April/May so no, you don't need all the expansions if you want to play Standard (which will be the competitive format). Naxxrammas and Goblins vs Gnomes aren't in Standard. If you want to be competitive and get ready for Standard buy Classic packs, The Grand Tournament packs, League of Explorers Adventure and Blackrock Mountain Adventure. If you're a new player you should probably get LoE/Blackrock adventures since you're guaranteed to get decent cards from them. If you really want packs you should probably start with getting some Classic packs. If you're looking to play Wild you need all the expansions. I mean, you don't need them but a lot of the people who will be playing Wild have all the expansions and adventures so you'll be on an unequal field. Meanwhile in Standard you can only use expansions/adventures I mentioned. Have fun.
