Astalor Voidtouched is great to have in your toolbox, but at least in the more aggressive lists, it's very rare that you are able to take advantage of it. Nevertheless it's pretty much the only way to beat Blood DK, Value Priest, and Control Warrior, so you pretty much have to run. But then, it's only 1 card in your deck so it's not like it costs much (you'd likely be running the attendants anyway).

DK its general a strong class. Just wait for the next expansions, when dk gets more cards and archetype decks.

@@tito2434 No problem! Notes: You are hard mulliganing for the zombie, nightmare, and spirit. Other than that only consider keeping undying allies, and SW: Undeath if you know it'll be a board centric matchup (e.g. aggro mage, etc). If you already have at least one of the big three three drops, you are mulliganing primarily for undying allies and resurrect effects. You don't want any of your 1-drops early (I know, weird for an aggro deck) because they spoil the res pool. You don't want Astalor early for the same reason. This deck is often totally happy to hero-power on 2 and even sometimes on 3, before dropping a Undying Allies, a 3 drop and a 1 drop on four. The voidtouched attendants are a late game finisher/combo card. If you have a few minions, they represent a fairly significant amount of burst damage, even through taunts if you have a SW: Undeath (which also deals 6 damage to face with one of them). Similarly, combined with the Astalor, they allow you to burst someone down for 48 damage and are pretty much your only hope against blood DK or other, non-aggressive priests. Try to set up your turns 6 and 7 to be really hard to clear so that Invincible's battlecry will almost certainly hit something (this is where the eggs come in handy; nobody bothers clearing them, especially if they have reborn). @@alastairvanmaren5243 Hey, I made a similar deck to you, but even more top heavy and felt it lacked in the early game but with some funny invincible corpse explosion OTKs. I tried your deck out and beat 5-1 in rapid succession. Only lost to hunter because he had the nuts pretty early on. Alot of fun so thanks for the deck code :D

@@drunyon214 pretty much the first card ofnthe set I crafted, it's literally in every single deck I play.

I feel like it's already too late. Not even halfway through this expansion, and I'm already so sick of Astalor that I don't think I'm prepared to commit to another expansion, even after Brann rotates out. The fact that they can make a card like this in the first place and leave it untouched for so long shows that there's a major problem on Team 5. I was hoping they'd learned after fixing so many recent mistakes so quickly, but this proves that that's not the case.

They might nerf Astalor because of playmate, but it's really going to grate on my nerves if they do. Renathal already got hammered, Denathrius got nerfed, and if Astalor gets hit, that's 3 neutral cards that were good in control/midrange decks that get nerfed and hose those deck archetypes, while the root problems (mainly in Rogue and Druid) get yet another pass. I'm tired of neutral cards dying for the sins of the mana cheating/mana ramping/card drawing/card discovering heavy classes.

@@DigimonFan814 Counterpoint: That's why these cornerstone cards should be class cards in the first place. Then the devs can make sure they aren't too exploitable, AND classes can keep their powerful class-identity moves. The game does not need a neutral all-purpose control finisher.
