So many people not understanding Amy and Lou's side. I'm from a split home myself. My dad had two sons before he married my mom. I've never met either of my brothers in person. And I didn't have any contact with them until I was an adult. One of them I still don't. And the other I have a very rocky relationship with. A phone works both ways. yes, he was just a kid back then. But, he's been an adult for some time now. He could just as well have contacted them. And it can send you into a real shock when you learn about a new sibling. I mean, I've always known about my brothers, but it was surreal to me because I never met them. You don't know what you can say or do, or how to go about building that new relationship. It's confusing and difficult. Even more so to think about your parent being with another individual that isn't your other parent. So I don't think Amy and Lou were in the wrong at all. They cannot be blamed for how they reacted

Shane is more like his father than i thought . What Amy went through the pass few years , losing the love of her life and having a child ,getting married , Shame on Shane for blaming her he could of reached out to her . Lou so rap up in her life she is selfish ,can't seam to be happy with one man no she wants her cake and eat it to. She wants to do it all be a mayor , run dude ranch, run Heartland run everyone lives . She is like her father too. Wish they get rid of Tim, Lou can't stand either and there no reason to bring Shane back . There are so many other they should bring back to the show fro seasons pass . The show isn't as good as it was in earlier seasons when Ty and Any were falling in love . They should of ended the show ended before they were shot .

I agree with much of what you have said, in particular about Lou & Tim! Shane I am not so sure about. You may recall Shane was always trying to get to Heartland when he was young but the arguing between Tim & Miranda always blocked his visits. And I kinda think the older ones should be the ones to reach out to try keeping in contact. I kinda think Shane likely thought he was not welcome back at Heartland once his mother remarried a lawyer. It's true cAmy went through some tough times however it did not take her long to almost wipe Ty from her & Lyndy's memory. Amy put Ty's horse out to pasture instead of keeping him for Lyndy. Amy never talks to Lyndy about her dad. Amy brings out that dam saddle that Amhed gave her, tells Lyndy a prince gave her the saddle and takes Lyndy for a ride on it. Why would Amy do that knowing Ty never liked Amhed and that Amy's fantasy affair with the prince almost cost her there marriage. And now Amy spends more time trolling for a new man than she spends with her daughter. Anyway just venting! I am not a real fan of the character Amy other than her work with the horses! The 3 Fleming as I see it are all alike. Treat people terribly and life is all about them!!😮

@@Ty-ty8tySo I stopped watching after Ty’s funeral. Are you being fr, Amy basically cut her daughter’s father Ty fully outta the picture? (I mean it’s not really Amy’s fault, if we’re being honest, it’s the damn writers). That being said, Shane was a little kid. Amy and Lou both should’ve tried, because if we’re being honest, neither truly tried

Poor poor shane always the mistreated and abused kid. Grow up. If i acted like he did i when he was on the show before, i would have gotten my butt kicked. This has been a theme on this show where everytime they bring on a new kid they do whatever they want and there are no consequences for there actions. Absolutely no discipline at all.

Don't necessarily disagree but look at the adults of those children (Tim, Lou, Peter! Not exactly model people for children to follow!!

@jc-vj9gc I know, right. Lou and Peter should have never been able to have kids. And Tim should have been castrated.
