Because Canadians fund it so they have the first rights to it before any other country. You'll get it eventually through UP Faith and Family, UP, ByuTV, Netflix, etc. Count yourselves lucky, not many countries can say the same.

This means all other networks, broadcasters, and streaming services are obliged to wait their turn to show Heartland in their respective countries and regions. Keep in mind it goes both ways: in Canada, we have to wait for other countries’ programs to hit our airwaves unless we subscribe to those foreign networks. (Unfortunately, no US cable company has ever been interested in adding CBC to its menu, due to a historical lack of interest in Canadian programming.)

Since the '80s, only a handful of fully Canadian shows have done so. (Try to name them if you can; this does *not* mean shows that are, or have been _filmed_ in Canada.)

Kerry has other shows he will be filming with so his sparse time in Heartland was just secondary. It's clear with all the key actors moving on to other shows/projects that Heartland has come to a end! Absolutely no good storylines left without changing the whole look to this show. And that chance is not what true Heartland fans want! Amber time to call it quits with this show and move onto other ones! Perhaps explore a movie like Avatar or such! She expressed a interest in Avatar years ago! She has one likely to come out later this year we're Amber & Kerry are in it(Elks Magic). I read the book not my cup of tea but some will like that sort of thing!! Anyway waiting to see Shaun Johnston & Jessica Steen plan to do!
