Bill Steer sure knows how to write memorable tasty melodies. I really love the way Carcass write death metal, heavy, crushing but also rocking, groovy with a unique rock vibe to it.

This hit me so hard that I got shivers down my spine at least a hundred times. Beautiful, honestly.

Carcass sounds so good on piano. A lady whose name I don't remember did Corporeal Jigsore,broke a string and kept going,it's great,and so is this.

We would play this while riding around the town. My friend had the bass turned up so it was sometimes hard to separate the instruments and what they were doing. Hearing this being played on the piano exemplifies the genius of Carcass's music.

This album changed my musical tastes so much i have to credit this album and joe Satrianis The Extremist. No two albums influenced me as heavily as these two. It helped steer my guitar journey, and after meeting my wife, playing all over my area, and providing an extra source of income when necessary, i really want to meet these guys one day, shake their hand and tell them thank you.

This is absolutely astonishing. As others have stated, Heartwork is one of the very best death metal albums ever made, and the title track is a masterpiece unto itself. I have to admit, I was quite skeptical when I clicked to watch this video, not able to imagine how raging buzzsaw guitars could translate to classical piano. Turns out that I just didn't have enough imagination. This is a stunning performance that perfectly captures and translates the original. And, again echoing other comments, it shows the inherent link between classical and metal. A beautiful piece of music and a flawless performance. Instant Sub, and I'd love to see more metal covers in this style. You are supremely talented. 🙂

I was watching a documentary about our local composer Carl Nielsen and thought that it had a lot in common with the metal my brother and son still like to listen to. Then I stumbled on this video and I guess it all makes even more sense now. BTW I used to go and see Carcass round the time of their first album... not seen them since 1990 though.

Heartwork is my favorite album by them. Every song a masterwork of metal perfection. Interesting to live in an age where people do this kind of thing. It serves to validate, and vindicate a much maligned form of music. Demonstrating the intricacies, and true complexities in songs such as these. I'd love to hear you do something off of the album Dreamweaver, by Sabbat. A most beautiful album. Heavy. Deep. A masterwork of poetry in metal form. Based on the book, The way of Wyrd. If you like metal, I think you'd like that album.
