Test Ring used to seal the gap between shell and tube sheet during shell test and by using test Ring we can see easily face of tube sheet so we can observe if any leak occurs We do the final test to check the shell side gasket integrity

For tube leakage finding always we do shell side hydrotest and and for shell side hydrotest we don't need to install cover, we need to install test ring both side so we can easily see which tube is leaking, hope you understand
