Heat warning issued for Toronto and the GTA

10 күн бұрынCanada’s national weather agency is warning of a "prolonged heat event" starting Monday that is expected to bring “dangerously hot and humid conditions” to much of southwestern Ontario.
Late Sunday afternoon, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued a heat warning for a large swath of Southern Ontario, including London, Toronto, Niagara, Owen Sound, and Kingston, Ont.

@@titusmccarthy Regurgitated safe and effective TV rubbish. There is no such thing as a physical “average global temperature.” It is a non-physical and statistical construct invented by and for global warming alarmism. The temperature station coverage is very sparse, so sparse it is hard to draw any conclusions about global average temperature from this data. Estimating global average surface temperature before 1900 is speculative, and before 1850, virtually impossible, there just isn’t enough good data. Besides, there is no data or evidence that the estimated 1.5 C warming since the Little Ice Age (half of which happened before the widespread use of fossil fuels) has been bad, human prosperity and flourishing have improved be every possible metric - only those who hate humanity have a problem with that.

@@ShadoCroc Get a grip man, Canada often had summer temperatures in the high 90 F in the 1970s long before the switch to the Celsius scale, the 'feels like' calculations and widespread availability of A/C. People used to go the cinema to cool off during heat waves.

The current temperature was colder than standard room temperature (25C), yet they show the colour yellow/orange on the map. 😂 In a normal world, it should be mostly green on that map.

This isn't Thailand, we're not really built to cope effectively with this kind of heat, and certainly not this early in the summer. Maybe this could be more expected in July, August, but it's a little less common in June.
