Every single performance by Linda that I've seen or heard is always vocal perfection. Every. Single. One.

Are you kidding? That voice? She had such a strong and melodic voice, supreme talent like that needs nothing but just sit and watch her belt it.

Most sing what they think they can - Ronstadt sang what she wanted surrounded by great devoted players. Glorious pipes - any time, any tune...sigh.
@judmcc10 ай бұрын
Great players - Andrew (guitar), and I'm pretty sure Corky Laing on drums and Kenny Edwards on bass.

She sure could sing. Long Long Time is my favorite from her. She never dressed like she was selling her body instead of her voice. She didnt have to because she was talented. She proved it too.
@aarondigby50548 ай бұрын
She picked the right song to remake exactly ten yesrs later when Linda sang this I couldnt get enough if hearing it because I was a 6yr old when Martha Reeves and the Vandellas sang it.
@tjwash51187 ай бұрын
I love that with musical acts of that time, if you took them off stage, directly to a pizza joint, they wouldn’t be over dressed for it. They were just natural, music loving people.

Wow. What a beautiful golden voice. Just flawless. The only thing I miss is that little falsetto flourish she does at the end of the song on the album version!

I was going to write this, it's true! How does such a tiny body generate such power?
@williamdrijver414110 ай бұрын
Donna Summer had the same quality: amazing volume of her voice, and crystal clear. Donna was 5 ft 7 or 170 cm and 132 lbs or 60 kg. A lot of training, but I think also a big part is natural born talent / gifted. @@chartwel
@toomuchinformationАй бұрын
@@williamdrijver4141You can be naturally gifted, but you have to apply yourself and put the work in. Donna Summer first sang in church, that great training ground. She also starred in musicals in Germany. She paid her dues, that's the "big" part.
