I have an '05 and the day the heater core goes is the day I bypass it too as it's a ridiculous amount of work to change it as the entire dash needs to be removed. I'll bypass instead.

I cut the lines and got it out with out removing the dash

To be fair seemed like the connector just gave out not the actual pipe. Probably fragile

im lost,he had 2 htr core hoses diconect,just put STRAIGHT fitting in them,connect, 2 clmps nd your done,

Yup it's that easy to bypass the heater core in these suvs

I would suggest a new camera (wo)man. Angles are worthless and commentary made me lose brain cells.

Yes, but it actually said that it was cold but it was really getting warm

Okay my 05 temp gauge inside of car you can drive for about 10mins then when you come to a stop the gauge starts to climb I replaced water pump tensioner pulley new belt new thermostat new radiator new coolant temperature sensor had a compression test done and block test both passed can not figure out this issue I don't know if I need a back flush

So you have a blown head gasket and the engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced

So you think that's what it is even if no white smoke from exhaust no coolant/oil mix and passed them test

Yes it might not be very bad yet but as time goes on it could be catastrophic
