Ledger's death was very much the tragedy that years earlier would have been River Phoenix, Brandon Lee or even James Dean. Exceptional talents each with an amazing appetite for hard work and none of them made it to 30 let alone the summits of their respective careers...

I did a project for my Film History class about him, and about 80% of the sources I found say that he was not depressed (he was happily fathering a beautiful baby girl), and that it was one of those times when he took the pills as required, but later forgot that he took them, and took the same dose again. That happened to me with my allergy pills, and I had to go to the hospital. It's so sad that he had to go at his prime. RIP Heath Ledger

R.I.P Heath. I didn't really know much about him until the Dark Knight came out and sitting through that movie was quite painful to think that he had died. It is such a shame and he has to be an oscar nominee for his fabulous role. We will all miss him.

I think it says a lot about Heath Ledger, not only as an actor but as a human being, that people were so torn because of his death. He didn't need to be our best friend for us to realize just how much he, his talent and amazing energy will be missed. I hope that wherever he is he knows that he is missed, every day.

We cannot deny the fact that playing the Joker really played a number on him. Playing a role that dark would affect anyone, especially taking it that far and that serious; resulting in an extraordinary acting.

I think it was a combination of both! Heath Ledger will always be remembered as the greatest joker in the Dark Knight! I remember seeing this movie when it came out and I was blown away by it not just the movie its self but Heath Ledger's joker! I am glad he won an oscar and a golden globe in 2008 I just wish Heath would have lived to see it! I am sure his family is proud of him! RIP Heath Your so missed! He accidentally died mixing sleep medication and hydro and oxys it’s a lethal concoction. The oxy and hydros were not his prescription however

He was a new father at the time, which being who he was you know he would 'never' give those things up for any reason. He was having trouble sleeping a lot of the time & all it took was an imbalance of taken prescriptions; could only mean 100% accidental overdose. This is so sad.... Reminds me of when Brandon Lee Died. Sad like Lee now every time I see a movie where the lead reminds me of Heath I will think of him in the role, and what could have been. But as for me, every time I watch "The Dark Knight," I see how talented he was and, for just a split second, forget that he passed away quite a while ago. as soon as i found out, i seriously didnt know what to do. i was lost. i went and saw the dark knight 3 times and everytime was pretty much just to see Heath. I knew this tragic news one month ago and have been in heartbroken mood every day. What a talented and great man he is ! When I heard about his death first I was stunned because I'm human and it's sad when things like that happens and I had seen him in very few film!But now I realise that we've lost one of a kind actor!
