Her oral presentations are riveting. I don't know about Heather, but some women who leave LDS go directly to atheism. Others move into the LGBQT community. I'm sure there can be a lot of anger. I think it might be good if these new pioneers got together and shared their different experiences. How to get free without abandoning everything.

The reason why Heather “ has always been a problem for Chad” is because unlike everyone else, Heather can read through the nonsense. I pray for her continued healing. It’s so unfair she had to bear the brunt of a lot of hate, but she’s a strong confident woman who knows who she is.

As a Black woman in Baltimore, I think Heather is a BOSS! Why mention my race? As I have followed and been deeply moved by this tragic case, I often wonder if these folks would even be in the same room as me (no shade, but racism is a thing among LDS and in the midwest). I think about how my East Coast urban life is starkly different than their rural midwestern lives. I think about their politics and who they probably vote for and how every one of those votes is probably an assault on everything I hold dear. As I mourn the lives of Tylee and JJ, I wonder if they mourn the lives of the innocent children of color who die in communities like mine everyday. But as much as I ponder the differences, I also see the shared humanity. I know what it feels like to carry a broken heart for a child you never knew, or to be the woman who dares to speak truth to power, or to fight for justice against all odds, or to question institutions that provide cover for abusive men and their pursuits of money, power, and sex. Heather's strength, steadfastness, and resilience are truly an inspiration...With all of the differences, the shared humanity matters most.

Heather is an amazing, strong woman, and her husband Matt knows that.. My issue is that Matt should demand his father apologize to Heather.. I dont get how Heather & Matt's children can have a relationship with their grandfather knowing how he feels and treats their mother.. My heart💔 hurts for Heather and her family dealing with all the aftermath of Chad and Lori's destruction in their daily lives😢 God Bless Them 🙏

I fully believe that he and Alex both killed Tammy. That was a two person job. No way he didn’t participate in everything that happened to Tylee. Again- a complicated two person job. I believe Alex and Lori were involved in JJ’s death and Chad dug the hole and provided the plywood and rocks. Seeing the back door that led up to the loft area where Tammy supposedly was is super creepy- whether or not she was upstairs or in her bedroom, it was super easy access to their house.

Stay strong Heather and thank you for not standing still and quiet when you knew something wasn't right. ❤ Justice will come for Tammy Tylee and JJ and also the people he decieved. I think Tammy knew he was having an affair before she died and that is why she was going to bed early and not engaging with other people as much. Poor Tammy how sad for her to have to deal with Chad for years and years

Pot stirrer Heather is not. A level headed, intuitive and honest soul amongst her family whom live(d) with the fairies in their heads, yes. I’ve watched this interview several times over the years and my admiration for Heather going against the grain and leaving the church is immense. You did well on the stand yesterday even in pain from surgery. I wish you after this trial peace in your body and healing in your family. May they look to you as the matriarch as your light and level head will I’m sure, only steer them forward vs backwards as is this truly horrific situation. Peace and love ☮️💜🌸

I have been the scapegoat of my family for many years because I too ask questions and don’t just go with the flow when something isn’t right. I too have been accused of being a pot stirrer. My heart goes out to Heather and I so respect her for standing firm when it mattered most! Heather you are an incredible person and I hope you know we all love and respect you!

And no one should ever apologize and/or feel as if they should stay quite if they have questions and/or gut instincts about anything in life!! So many people and I’ve done it many times also to avoid “rocking the boat”, etc just go along, stay quite, etc things they might question, don’t agree with and imagine if everyone always had that mindset in life. We would never evolve and grow in any way

I’m half way through this at the point where Heather says she hopes Garth doesn’t lie for his dad. THEY BOTH DID. I hope there are repercussions. They are adults, there’s no reason to lie for their dad. Good luck to all of them.

I just want Heather to know how proud of herself she should be. Women in the church are taught to rely on their men, and to doubt themselves. Know that God speaks to YOU. And it’s a testament to your connection that you heard him and listened. Be proud.

I wondered if the son felt like he was responsible for her death. Chad could have put it in their mind that the drugs he shared with his mother might have caused it. It would make sense that they then agreed to no autopsy fearing he might get into trouble

Wow Heather! Thanks for sharing all your personal feelings and experiences. It couldn’t have been easy. You are right! YOU hold no guilt. I can understand that you are hurt by all the distrust everyone put on you. I don’t know if that’s what took you away from the church but I couldn’t blame you. I pray you and all the family can heal from all this. When you heal, I hope you can have peace💞. Moreover, I hope you can heal enough to feel and know the gospel is still true🙏🏻. But I would pull back to heal if I were you too!! If nothing else, can I say thanks for all the dedication and time you gave in service. Please don’t feel it was a waste of time❣️ I hope the trial can bring healing and solace. May Chad receive his punishment!!!

She has stated that Tammy was mean. I think Chad had an obsession with Heather ever since his younger brother married her. Probably made Tammy feel like crap. The mean things chad said about Tammy and her own kids treated her like crap. I might be mean too if my husband and kids did me that way. Heather still cared enough to notice things were off. It's all so sad. The lds religion treats women like sh*t.

Heather I'm sure this has been horrendous for you and your family. It literally shattered your faith girl. Please cut yourself some slack. Your family's hard work and morals will PREVAIL! You should consider becoming a voice for the rest of women broken by this belief system that demeans and destroys them. Because most people don't have the strength and intelligence that you do. You are a true leader my dear there is no getting away from that. Please go and live your beautiful life!!! Bravo!!!
