In today's world, her courage and integrity make her stand out in a manner that is positively AWE-INSPIRING. I grew up in a world where many white mainstream types fell into the habit of saying literally anything to maintain their upward mobility. Nobody would dare to rock the boat. It left me quite cynical, but I had no idea how quickly things would deteriorate. Listening to this woman offers a rare moment of respite to all of that...

I once knew a physicist who was the head of a government lab. Most of his staff had to be PHD's in physics. When he was looking to hire another physicist, he was told he needed to hire a Black physicist. He responded that he would hire the first Black physicist that applied for the job. He never found such a person. Luckily, this was some time ago so he was able hire a white physicist who was actually qualified for the job without incurring the wrath of the administration. However, looking back, one can see this a the beginnings of our current insanity.

How long ago was that physicist hiring situation? People do need to realize that Trump pushed the left into overdrive, and I suspect once he's gone from politics (hopefully ASAP) DEI will fade to a tolerable level.

America isn't really all that racist. Most Americans don't have the luxury of worrying about things like that. It's only in our media does racism exists. 99.9% of the racism we experience in life comes from our media, not from the real world. When we turn off the TV, racism ceases to exist. By the way, my heart surgeon was a black female. She was a genius.

I guess that my first of a plethora of positive reactions to this interview with Heather would be GRATITUDE! I share her pessimism about the current state of the race and culture wars plaguing Western Civilization at the moment. Yet I am deeply grateful that she continues to so courageously expose the cancerous metastisis that is threatening the survival of Western Culture. Her remarks are filled with verified facts that put the lie to wokeist myths about racial inequality in America and expose the root causes of black over representation in prison populations and poverty statistics. She's right that we conservatives sincerely want blacks to experience success in the American free enterprise system equal to their peers among other racial and ethnic groups. She is also completely correct in her assertion that racial preferences are not the moral or practical answer to the obvious problem, the pathological cultural environment in the crime-ridden inner cities of major American metropolises. I salute you, Heather and Jonathan, for your courage and persistence. You are putting your fingers in the dike. The forces arrayed against you, and those of us who agree with you, are monumental and seemingly overwhelming. There are rays of hope in the darkness, a slowly growing trickle of black conservative voices for instance, but it is difficult to find much optimism today about a positive outcome. Heather is right to point out the success of conservative principles in Florida, but its architect, Ron DeSantis, is assailed at every turn by the mass of howling dogs in the media and the Democrat Party. We face an uphill battle. It's only voices like yours that keep the tiny flame of hope alive for millions of our countrymen who are numerically outnumbered by the forces of the left. Godspeed. We pray for you!

The consequences will be, people will avoid black and hispanic doctors due to concern of their ability. I have run into people who had a positions they didn’t earn. Their abilities were severely lacking. It made me wonder about the ivy league PhD they had. I know first hand that these preferences were already happening in a long time ago. In the 90s, the weakest medical students were all minorities.

My brother, don’t do that. Her analysis and the so-called facts she presents are wrong. You cannot come out of the pipeline as a physician without passing exams called STEPS I, II, III, which are the same for everyone. And there are additional BOARD Exams which you do not need to pass to practice. You can always check whether your doctor, black or white, is Board certified. I am a black doctor and I am proud of the care I provide. Many white people have preferred to see me instead of another local white doc. Mrs McDonald has a master degree in English, her argumentation is impeccable, I guess her writing is also inviting but her facts are wrong and interpretation skewed. She is doing a disservice to everybody.

You maybe the exception to the rule that's all! If you were not admitted because you were black, then you would be right about what you said because you deserved the admission based on your merits. We are talking about when schools have to pick 5 more blacks otherwise the school would be fined and accused! Tell me if they didn't have those 5 blacks applying for school who is also qualified, they have to lowered the standard? It's only logical!@@Stagbeetle007

Just as women prefer occupations that involve people rather than things, what about the idea African Americans prefer occupations with more immediate gratification or social prestige? What if black people just aren't interested because of their familial culture? Is the government responsible for a community's culture? Liberalism has to be let off the hook at some stage. I believe that is part of the reason politicians become so cynical.

But successful educational outcomes depend not only on schools but on the amount of effort that the children put in and their natural ability. You can have the most dedicated teachers but they cannot achieve much if the class is full of disruptive, insolent, unmotivated children who bully and laugh at any of their number who work hard for being 'too white', and who report any teacher who expects them to achieve high standards for being 'racist'.

Black leaders do seem to complain a lot, pull the race card and blame others for what goes on in there communities rather than taking accountability. How insightful or helpful is anything Heather has to say to anyone in the cut where poverty, crime and despair bump up against law enforcement on a regular basis? Ms Mac Donald has degrees in English from Yale and Cambridge and a JD from Stanford, and can write sharply argued polemics for the Manhatten Instute, but I’m not sure how much field work she’s done. Quite to the contrary to the narrative in this video. Those already employed in STEM will find a sudden drop off in competition as those entering their discipline drop out due to their inability to keep up are welcoming this fall off in competition. That's why they aren't fighting it.

Wow! Heather even more fearlessly incisive than usual. Thank you both so much. But her boldness falls short with two remaining elephants in the room. She praises Desantis but avoids any mention of Trump, though their followers' proudly anti-intellectual passions are the same. Not to mention their shared sociopathic love of dominating, demonizing and ridiculing anyone who tries to stand in their way or who even dares to criticize. (Sound familiar?) DeSantis is Trump with a modicum of polish, Trump who has actually finished a book. (Though, for the first time, and thanks to Heather, I'm beginning to see the necessity of some of his actions in the public colleges on DEI.) Remember, Conservatives, your former mantras remain true: Character counts; Character is destiny. Nowhere should this be more relevant than in your presidential candidates. As to the second pachyderm: She's so good on the nightmarish and nightmarishly enduring education, skills, wealth and crime gaps but never seems to mention the one gap that most of the data says drives those- the nearly one standard deviation one in IQ which has endured for well over a century, despite billions thrown at it. Dare we follow the science on this one too? Though the implications are daunting, what say ye Heather? Can we hear your response to Charles Murray's last book? Or someone tell us where it can be found?

CRT and Radical Feminism are outgrowths of the liberal project to bring into the "fold" groups who have been historically discriminated against - primarily in the law (CRT was created by lawyers and its initial application was to determine inequities in the law). Unfortunately, the intersection of this approach coincided at a time in the US when Feminism, Black Studies and Economics were highly influenced by Marxism and Postmodernism (while different, these disciplines are rooted in historical class hierarchy and colonialism). "Racism" is one expression of cultural superiority. All (most?) cultures believe they are superior to others. All cultures begin with the assertion, "we are the people who..." and distinguish themselves from others, whom they usually see as inferior in their culture, manners, etc. Virtually the dominant group in a society with multi-cultural dynamics will oppress the others to some extent. To guard against this problem, our culture has created Rule of Law and democratic institutions. However, the institutions are run by imperfect humans who consciously or unconsciously tend toward discrimination against those not in the dominant social group. So, I don't have any problem with legal scholars looking into injustices in law, or with sociologists studying social dynamics, but what we are dealing with here is a dangerous methodology that means to restructure society and law rooted in Marxist social organization - the same radical socialist dogma that has ruined societies everywhere it's been imposed (China, USSR, Cuba, N Korea, et al). So, yes, it must be exposed for what it is and defeated - preferably at the ballot box (I am not a fan of some the tactics of DeSantis and others who are using the power of government to both root out radical leftism while taking unconstitutional means to entrench GOP control in "red states").

When it comes to elections the assumption that they are true, fair, and legal may no longer be appropriate. And constitutional rights are there for a reason…not to be trampled by the politics of the day.

I'm trying to give Heather the benefit of the doubt, but it's a bit difficult to sometimes. She is one of the few who will even broach these subjects, but when she goes on about Boulogne being mediocre at best, & then says well, there are some pretty good black composers, but they tend to lack any real depth....that sort of thing, it's tough not to hear "I just don't like black people" in her voice.

Agreed. Perhaps, if true reflections, comparisons were done in a perceptive manner, she wouldn't be talking about the classics at all, really. (Which she obviously adores.) She'd be talking about Miles Davis. Louis Armstrong. Ella Fitzgerald. Mahalia Jackson. Even Ledbelly. I was pretty young when I started wallowing around in the deep dark history of American popular music. And I stumbled upon the birth of Ragtime. Which is fascinating - because it's all about some anonymous southern plantation houseboy taking a European minuet and simply playing the thing on a piano in the manner of his own genetic evolution. With a completely different rhythm, of course. Which was brilliant and which (for me) started off appreciation for the landslide of evolution in American music that was going to go light years beyond all the minuets ever scribed. Perhaps what you describe in Heather's voice is some part of that condescension that critical thinkers accuse white liberal women of all the time. The ones who "instruct" black people and others of color on how to be authentic. I would still cut her a rank above this, but elements of it are everywhere. Jason Riley's 'Please Stop Helping Us' is a wonderful book about the subject.

It's hard when the media tells you about racism everyday and when Heather tells you otherwise. You are inclined to believe the media and therefore Heather had to hard on you with the facts. In contrary she did not say any bad words about blacks, she was concerned and was telling you what you may not want to hear that's all! Just like if she said black on black crimes were more than any White on black crimes... the numbers matched up, how was she sounding like she hated blacks?
