Sedona mountain bike festival

Жыл бұрынI did not think that this was possible!! It actually snowed in Sedona and it snowed a lot!!! We went up for the Sedona mountain bike festival and we came to find out that it snowed so much that the festival was postponed by one day for the "venue area" to be cleared from all the snow. This is one of my favorite places to visit and ride at so when we found out that the trails were covered we were all a little bummed. But we made the best of our trip and time there. It was amazing getting to see everyone.....and one of the days we got a pretty fun crew to drive out to Phoenix to South Mountain and ride a trail called National which I thought was sooooo fun!!

I was in the same boat.. went to Sedona to ride bikes and ended up at SOMO also! Maybe next year we will get to ride in Sedona..

Wow! Great to see the sun! I have ridden Sedona a few times and that is a beautiful sight to see all that snow there. Looks like another great trip with your amazing crew!!

Some other good options the next time you are looking for warmer dryer trails in AZ is the Hawes trail system in the Phoenix area and 50 year trail in Tucson.

I had a ticket for Friday and was going to go up (vehicle all loaded up and such). Got up Friday morning and checked my email, just to find out it was cancelled. I was actually going to head to South Mountain, but decided to do Thunderbird instead..... I should have done South Mountain....oh well. Not in anyway knocking Sedona, I have been up there a few times. I always get asked why I do not ride up there every weekend... We are not Sedona, but we have some pretty sweet trails down here to.

We tried riding on Saturday, went over some ice my bike slipped and almost went down to a 30 foot drop.
