okay i've seen a lot of i am damaged animatics and this is possibly the most heartbreaking one because gosh you can see the remorse and regret on his face and just. I'm going to be in my room for the next four hours crying thanks

They legit deserved to be a nice couple. I wish they lived in a town that wasn't this toxic. I wish JD got the help he needed.

I feel extremely horrible for JD. His mother died when he was young, his father neglected him, he was bullied his entire childhood (His sadness) and that turned him into a ticking time bomb that would of exploded if nudged at all (His anger side). But when Veronica came into his life, J.D felt overjoyed to have someone he loved in his life who loved him back. He never had that since his mother died. So, when Veronica was being bullied by one of the Heathers, he knew that he had to do something, because he didn't want to lose anyone who he loved anymore. That led to one of the Heather being killed. And that happened again with Ram and Kurt. This evolved into massive amounts of anger becoming loose inside of him. To top that all off, when Veronica dumped him, he became crushed, simply because his nightmare was to lose someone he was close to , and it actually happened. Thats what set off the time bomb inside of him, triggering all of his anger towards society, and many other things to explode into a massive fury of anger towards the world. It became even more worse for him when he saw Veronica hang herself in front of him (this was a fake suicide), which was even more damaging. Since his mother died in front of him as well, this made him even more angry with the world, because of his massive fear of losing someone that he cared for right in front of him. In the end, his anger and sadness is what caused him to blow himself up, simply put. He, in the end, revealed all of these things to Veronica, in which he still cared for when his death occurred. He never wanted to put Veronica in that position of death, so he "Traded his life for hers" instead. His broke me into tears the first time I saw it, I never wanted him to die, he never deserved it, even though he killed three people in his rage. Even though JD had many issues, if only he received help earlier in life, then he would have been different. Sorry :( I just felt I needed to rant, I'm still sad that he died. *Sobs*

I love how: In the musical: When Veronica “hangs herself” Jason is very sad about it, and when Jason takes the bomb to commit suicide, she still cares a little bit about him. And in the movie: When Veronica “hangs herself” Jason is like: “dammit, you're no fun, I wanted to do it”, and when Jason takes the bomb to commit suicide, he tells Veronica: “Pretend I did blow up the school, all the schools. Now that you're dead, what're you gonna do with your life?” and Veronica replies by putting a cigarette in her mouth. The bomb blows up, killing Jason and lighting Veronica's cigarette.

XD I understand that the audio was a mistake but every once in a while it would squeak in my left ear and would make me laugh

In my mind, the most depressing part about this is that JD is aware he’s broken and insane. When insane people believe they are doing the right thing, and think their normal, it’s easier for me to hate them. Because their minds refuse to see the truth and when they die, they’ll die believing they were right. But when people like JD die, they die knowing their messed up and usually thinking their horrible people. They don’t leave with a clear conscious. To me, that’s what makes me feel for JD.

Years later and I find out that when he says "I am damaged" he's not talking about his crazy actions and life, he's talking about the bullet wound 💀 My man still does not care about the people he killed- not to mention when he says "our love is god" he's trying to get her to say it with him. In a way he's trying to reassure both himself and Veronica that he's going to go to heaven because the god that he believes in is just the love he and Veronica shared- which is just brutal when you think about it- especially since Veronica hits him with a "Say hi to God" instead of trying to reassure him herself by doing what he wanted to do in the first place and simply say "our love is god" like he wanted her to- She just just lays down the cold hard truth, their love isn't god- what a sad way to go- the only person you ever loved basically telling you straight up that your beliefs are false and that your love was never anything more than the average high school sweetheart type of thing- This scene is the saddest fucking thing I have ever seen in a musical-- I can't believe I forgot about this whole musical- it really is one of the greatest if not THE greatest in my opinion.

It actually shows how JD's changed (which he didn't do in the movie but that's not the point-) and that he's actually willing to trade his life so she can live hers, without having to worry about him killing people. *looks at the corpses of Heather, Kurt, and Ram* Well, MORE people.
