thing is, all though the prisoner looks as if he was a bad guy, he spent years writing that appeal case to hopefully be worthy, hes looks of course didn't look the best you could imagine. the angel saw him as an unworthy person and decided to "play" with him for a bit when the angel fell, the prisoner helped him get back up but the angel haven't learned his lesson and tried to throw the prisoner down however the prisoner turned into an angel and went to heaven, and the fat angel turned into a demon seems like people never learn or something without having a serious punishment, but people should seriously treat others as they wanted to be

Fun fact if you look close enough through out the video the angel wings keep getting smaller as he does eviler things that's why he was having trouble flying back up

What's brilliant about this is that the jerk-formally-known-as-an-angel didn't get sent to Hell in the end just for being mean and ungrateful. It's also because he was displaying one of the Seven Deadly Sins (two if you count Gluttony via the doughnut): Pride. You can tell that he's really proud of being an angel and having authority over repentant sinners like Raymond (the ex-demon), proud enough to abuse said authority for his own amusement. Raymond on the other hand didn't get into Heaven just for reforming, it's also because he displayed one of the Seven Virtues: Charity. After how the ex-angel abused him you wouldn't have blamed Raymond if he had refused to help the ex-angel back up, but he did. Also, now that I think about it, Raymond was also showing the opposite of Pride: Humility. Instead of acting proud that he was given a chance for an appeal, he acts shy and unsure due to knowing that his full redemption won't be completed until he gets his wings and halo. Showing both Virtues freed his soul.

I think it’s a story on people becoming redeemable. People go through change. The devil did some very good deeds but the angel covered the paper with his finger,not even willing to read the appeal correctly as he speedily scrolls through the papers. He didn’t put effort in seeing the good in Raymond. In the entire short,he’s an asshole.. Taking advantage of the devil’s kindness and willing to push him off the platform. But their roles change. Just like their morals did.

I've watched a few of these now and all I can say is, I'm amazed by the talent out there, the imagination and the wit. Bravo to all concerned!!

This was actually really good, and also a good reminder that animation isn't easy. Obviously it's not as polished but that's because the filmmakers don't have Pixar's budget, but even for them, that refinement that makes the animation so seamless doesn't just come together overnight.

Just because you believe you have it good and you're untouchable, doesn't mean you get to hold your position over someone's head and interfere with their attempts to obtain a similar goal. Funny enough I had a friend back in elementary and middle school who said I was going to hell because I didn't believe in God or Jesus, didn't matter how kind I was or how much I chose to be a volunteer. At some point, the concept of the Rapture came up in middle school during lunch. And our friend group discussed it. One of the questions was, if the ground beneath most of us fell and we were on the edge would the ones still standing help us up and risk falling. Her answer, she'd only help if I would stop being a Buddhist and then she'd save me. Needless to say I told her, if she was hanging and I had sure footing, I would still attempt to pull her up and risk falling, because I didn't think it was necessary to pledge loyalty to someone in exchange for someone's life. And that it didn't seem like we had the same values and morals and I ended the friendship there. On the flip side, I deepened my friendship with someone who also religious, but had jumped in during the hypothetical question and said, "Why wouldn't you? She's our friend. I'd try to help you up. I'm not strong but if heaven is pulling me up that makes it easier to pull you out. " Your genuine actions are what paves your future.
