Hey you, and me both buddy. I wish I could turn back the time when I was in my teens, and 20s. It's a time that came, and a time that is gone; where we were once teenagers, never again. A time when we were in our 20s never again we will be that age, and now here were are at an older age. Being young is actually very sad if you think about it; because we're only young once. That's why we were told to value our youth in which most of us did, others did not....😔

It’s been 20+ years since I was in the sheep industry (hobby farmer), but back then Finns were becoming popular in crossbreeding into commercial flocks to increase the multiple birth percentage. I had one purebred Finn that had triplets.

I still have the smell in my nostrils, after the first half hour the perspiration stops dripping from the end of your nose & by the end of the day you can wring out the lanolin from your clothes, I loved every minute, very happy days. It's a pleasure to watch you , thank you so much 🙏🤗🤗

I love watching you pull a relatively clean sheep of a near totally different color out of what looks like dirty mess. It's like magic! I also like when you do commentary on the personality of the animal or the breed. You are very clever with your humor!

I started shearing when I was 55 years old. I went to Cornell 2-day shearing school, two years in a row. I'm an almost 70 year old woman now and I've shorn all totaled, 1200 sheep since then . That is really nothing compared to professional shearers who can do that amount in 10 days. My back doesn't like the first few sheep but by the end I'm in full shearing mode and used to it again ( aspirin helps ) and there are no more sheep until next year. Many times as I was learning I wanted to quit, but I'm glad I didn't. I enjoy it and like helping sheep feel better.

Yes, normal. Finn and Shetland sheep are born with naturally short tails covered mostly with hair, not wool.
