The large guard comes off the cut off tool, leaving behind an angle grinder style guard

You need to get the ‎2782-20 Metal cutting circular saw, I'm not sure if it can cut a 2x4 but it can cut 1/2 plate steel,it's not happy about it but it can,,but if you need to cut steel that is one bad dude,I think there's times where you would be happy you had it

For HEAVY duty a 5196 corded is the ticket and they're so stout (I maintained a fleet for a welding school) I didn't hesitate to buy mine used as the collets and nuts are readily available.

I use the M12 die grinders with flap discs & the 18 volt die grinder for heavy duty use the 18 volt battery lasts a lot longer

They do. It's called a CO2 cylinder with a fixed pressure regulator (no gauge to break unless one buys the gauge style) and they're wonderful. Bonus, the also feed MIG welders and are cheap to refill.

Milwaukee makes a cordless leaf blower that makes some decent wind, put a thin nozzle on it and you have a cordless blow gun

As a boilermaker of 15 years I don’t see how the two die grinders will last with metal particles. Will these two tools clog up ?

I"m curious as to why Die Grinders are so expensive relatively speaking. They cost more than a rotary tool and just as much or more so than your angle grinder. An air powered one is cheaper, but in general these tools are expensive. Why is this so?

I didn't like that cutoff tool much either. I saw someone has made an adapter to put a dynafile style 1/2"x18" belt sander on it and did that conversion. Made it pretty handy. Sees more use for me than the cutoff tool did.

Yeah I'm thinking about doing that too its under powered for cutting and I already have a astro belt sander I don't use to do a conversion do you get good power out of the sander tho?

@@kingofkings2934 Yeah heaps of power with the belt sander. You think about how big the diameter of the cutoff disc is compared to the diameter of the drive wheel on the sander and you're getting at least double the torque with half as small of a diameter. I'm mostly shredding and snapping belts with it rather than seeing them bog down. I have the astro 1/2x18 and think this is just as powerful. I used a Baxter harbor freight 1/2" belt sander for the M12 conversion and a kit I found on ebay for adapting the drive wheel to the HF sander. Same size belts as the astro is also convinient.

@@kingofkings2934 Unless you can find a good coupon for the Baxter HF belt sander just use the Astro and buy a second new one if you miss it. That HF one costs more than the Astro one now!

@@mattspevak7944 ya good point the only situation I would need a air one is if I the milwakee wouldnt fit some were the air one would in witch case I would just put the head back on the astro I have a bunch xc 6.0s so i wouldn't use the air for long duration either.
